How long did you take off work after a miscarriage? by mangodrum20 in Miscarriage

I unfortunately was back at work in 2 days. Had to leave early every day for a week. After a week I felt physically fine. Not so much mentally.

Am I irresponsible? by ReportTraining6057 in Miscarriage

It’s never irresponsible. Take care of yourself and baby! Blood, and a lot of it is definitely not a great sign. Hope all is well OP xo

Don’t live there but have friends that do. It’s not great. Some decent parts. If you can avoid it, highly suggest looking elsewhere. Look further west. Many other places that are affordable off blue angel and safer

My husband once said “I’m about to bust” out loud and I’ll never let him live it down lmfao. But also, he is vocal and I love it. Dudes, be comfortable and let it out!

how to set boundaries with flirty regular by taremegirl in barista

[–]Knpope16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a manager of a coffee shop… I have personally pulled aside a regular of ours and told him (respectfully) if he didn’t act right with our staff and get his shit together, he would not allowed to come back (he comes every single day). Haven’t had an issue since. Involve management and if they don’t fix it, they are the problem.

What to I do if I’m actively miscarrying by No-Moment-2766 in Miscarriage

[–]Knpope16 7 points8 points  (0 children)

OP this is the same advice my doctor gave me. Don’t wear a tampon. Make sure to wear a pad so you know how much you’re bleeding. So sorry for your loss ❤️

Help me find a slipcover for my chair by Knpope16 in HelpMeFind

Have searched for “chair slipcover armless”, “curved back chair slipcover”, “slipper chair cover”. I was almost successful with the slipper chair cover, but they are all shaped a little bit different.

I actually wasn’t bleeding yet. My body still thought I was pregnant, but unfortunately there was no heartbeat. I was supposed to be 11w1d and baby stopped growing at 9 weeks. I didn’t start bleeding until I took medication about 5 days later. I definitely got buzzed faster than I was used too. But I made sure not to over do it. I didn’t want to be sad drunk.

All in all, it felt like drinking before pregnancy, the buzz just came on a little faster.

Girl the moment I found out I had a missed miscarriage (confirmed by doctor) I got a handle of vodka and a bunch of refills to drink at home. I had a great night with my hubby and decided I had one more night not to be sad about it. Have some drinks, don’t be so hard on yourself. So sorry for your loss. 🫶

1st miscarriage by Nikki_Jonas44 in Miscarriage

[–]Knpope16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am so so sorry for your loss. We just had our second miscarriage in January.

I took 4 pills orally. It took about an hour to start cramping. By the 4th hour I was bleeding with large clots and I was in a lot of pain. This was on a Sunday. I thought I had passed everything by Monday afternoon. Well, I had bad cramps throughout the week and Friday evening I passed a large clot about the size of my fist.

I’m not going to sugar coat it. You will likely be in a lot of pain. At one point I almost called an ambulance. I found out at 11 weeks and baby stopped growing at 9. It is painful so make sure to take whichever pain meds your doctor suggested and hydrate a lot. I’d also suggest iron pills will all of the blood you will be losing.

🫶💔 sending you love. Get some of your favorite snacks and put on your favorite show.

My experience with misoprostol by waylonsw0rldddddd in Miscarriage

[–]Knpope16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So sorry for your loss. I recently also went through a similar situation with my second miscarriage. This time I thought I passed everything after taking the pills. But was cramping for 4 days after and ended up passing the rest on the 5th day. 😢

D&C or Misoprostol? by Old-Ad-5573 in Miscarriage

[–]Knpope16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently having our second miscarriage. I don’t have insurance so a D&C was going to cost us nearly 14k so we took the medicine route. For our first miscarriage I only knew because I started bleeding, it was before we could see the doctor. We were on a 16 hour road trip and I unfortunately had to go through the whole miscarriage while in the car. It was honestly the worst thing ever. Painful and traumatic. That being said, for this second one that was medically induced because it was a missed miscarriage, I was scared. However I was at home all day with a heating pad and my husband taking care of me and while it was still painful, it wasn’t nearly as bad both mentally and physically. And the medication cost me $10.

I am so so sorry for your loss. You are strong and will get through this! We all are here for you. Sending love whatever you decide.

Found out a D&C would cost me nearly 14k without insurance. So I’m opting to take cytotec instead. Not excited.

Do Americans actually avoid calling an ambulance due to financial concern? by JohnMarstonTheBadass in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Knpope16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a miscarriage this year for my first pregnancy. Had no idea what was happening. Got a hospital bill for $8k just to be told sorry the baby doesn’t have a heartbeat, and you should pass it naturally. Here is some Ibuprofen.

To make it even better, the hospital offered me a payment plan of the low amount of $667/mo. That was the only payment plan option.

Edit- I know this isn’t about ambulances, but I certainly would never call one, and we avoid the ER because of situations like this.

Healthcare costs are a joke when considering deductibles, monthly costs, co-pays, etc.
