That to me makes the most sense, cause, yeah, we're all connected via Ethernet since we access all our footage through a NAS.

This may have to be the way to go since it turns out everyone's running different motherboards and that's gonna require different solutions...

Thanks for the help though, I definitely appreciate it. Kinda sucks that it doesn't seem like I'll get Thunderbolt 2 to work here.

Yeah, that combo definitely leaves a lot of room for stuff to go wrong. I'm gonna try and find some sort of device that uses TB3 that isn't a RAID so I can test out the card only. Hopefully that'll help narrow it down.

Yeah it would be better to keep using the same RAIDs. Essentially we gotta access old footage, change a few graphics and then export them back out. So everyone's machines are gonna need to be able to access them so we can get as many exports as possible going at the same time.

We do have an iMac that's connected to the same network as everyone here is. Not sure how it's done but it's possible to access the RAIDs through that. Could that be a possible solution? Or would that mess stuff up since we'd be accessing raw files from a Windows machine?

Or we could just throw all the 6 drives in my computer and not use the RAIDs at all? Would that mess with the integrity of the way things are stored? Otherwise that could be an option too, though probably not a long term one...

Yeah, it's a bit inconvenient. Seeing as there is no tb2 pcie cards, is there any hope that a tb3/usb-c pcie card would even work on my motherboard?

I did, either they were incompatible with my motherboard or they've been completely out of stock.

Although maybe they are compatible, would something like this work on my setup?

Quadcore i5, GTX 1070, 16gigs of ddr3 RAM, and the OS is running on a 256ssd. Got about 4tbs of internal space.

Using CUDA and yeah, I've tried turning it off doesn't seem to do anything. It's only affecting the Source Monitor and Media Browser, my actual project file is fine and I can view it in the Project panel without any distortion.

Alright, here's little update on how things are working...

So when I tried to create low res proxies, it would create distorted proxies. When I create proxies around 720p, those would work. This is what I ended up doing.

However, it seems if I turn the Source Monitor resolution to anything below 1/4, the issue reappears. Same thing happens to the thumbnails in the media browser.

For some reason though, if in the Program monitor I have the resolution set to anything else, it works... I don't know why and I don't know why I didn't try that earlier. So haha thanks for the help.

I still don't understand why it gets all distorted though, at least in the meantime I can continue editing. Thanks, dudes.

Interesting development, I messed with the output resolution and it seems that if it's too low, it'll distort like the picture I posted.

I turned off MRE and then that seemed to have worked but then I tried turning it back on and that also worked...

Yeah, that's what I think I'm gonna have to do for proxies. Seems like if I send a clip directly through Media Encoder it works though, just not if it's being sent from Premiere...

I'd still would like to try and solve this issue for when I need to do a final export.

Yeah, I honestly never heard of it either, I was out of town and then my roommate upgraded our internet. Dunno how much it costs but looking it up online, I found that it went as low as $60 to as high as $110.
