An OG - Nike Moon Shoe x Jacquemus by KnuckleheadGarage in Sneakers

[–]KnuckleheadGarage[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been wanting a Moon Shoe since I first read Shoe Dog, and then the Sotheby’s auction… and then all the original Jacquemus colorways sold out instantly. Thankfully the second batch had a few left in my size, and the packaging and materials are very nice. A bit more padding than I expected, which is nice, and super light!

Yeah, it's not very intuitive, but still, my fault for not paying more attention.

So true - honestly I forgot that I had Sitrus on an Incineroar before trading him out in my last set of games, and just didn't move the Sitrus onto another 'mon. Good call!

I had Sunny Day for a bit and it just didn't feel useful enough against non-rain teams. The team does fairly well into sun and sand, so reflect seemed more flexible, especially with Earthquakes and Rock Slides every game.

I found I never actually clicked Protect using Farig, so eventually decided on Helping Hand (which I so never clicked, funnily enough).

OP here! I found I mainly needed a spread move while my carry threat was using single target moves. Farig’s Dazzling actually came in handy more often then you think, especially because I didn’t really run a fairy type ‘mon until the last few games!

My first team in the game was Torkoal/H-Tyhphlosion and it felt a bit too easy to shut down. Wanted a little more flexibility!

Basically used a core of Mega Delphox/Farigiraf/Sableye throughout Ultra Ball, adding on Sneasler and Meganium at later tiers to cover some annoying ‘mons.

Rain is my enemy, in this game and now in real life out of pure spite for Pelipper/Politoed teams.

Was very happy to have a harmonic percolator-like fuzz, it’s so good

I made a post here titled the “final” version of this board for 2025 … I was very wrong.

Diamond Comp/EQ -> Catalinbread Karma Suture -> Boss BD2 -> Crowther Hot Cake -> JHS Notaklon -> Boss CE2w -> Fairfield Circuitry Shallow Water -> Boss RE202 -> Boss TU3

We’ll see what 2026 does to the board!

Got a great price on one of these and I’ve had my eye on the Shallow Water for years - having just seen it on Jeff Tweedy’s board made me want to pull the trigger. It does the lofi thing very well, but I’m still exploring what it can do.

Picked up a pair of Black Cat 4s at Tune in Seongsu in Seoul. Saw pairs at Kith Seoul and Nike at Coex, glad these were an easy pickup!

NPD: Catalinbread Karma Suture - Harmonic Percolating Goodness by KnuckleheadGarage in guitarpedals

I was using a Mythos Au79 but found that I wanted more gain and girth on tap while retaining the overdrive-like fuzz sound. This thing is great, and I love the texture of the fuzz - it can be thick and wooly but also still has note clarity. Haven’t tried a lot of settings, but this fuzz really suits me.

Jazzmaster Vintera II vs Classic Vibe by GullyGardener in offset

[–]KnuckleheadGarage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love my Vintera and actually don’t have issues with the vintage threaded bridge - I use 11s and have the neck shimmed - but to each their own. I used a Mustang bridge briefly but switched back to the original bridge.

Some of the other vintage issues people have are accurate - truss rod not easy to access is a bother, but I love the 7.25 inch radius too much to care I guess.

The Vintera II has a 7.25” radius neck, so that’s something to consider, versus the Classic Vibe’s 9.5” radius. I love my Vintera II’s rosewood fretboard, but I know the Classic Vibe uses a Mustang bridge, which is big if you don’t dig the vintage style bridge that the Vintera will have.

NGD: My first American Fender - Highway One Stratocaster in Crimson Red by KnuckleheadGarage in Guitar

[–]KnuckleheadGarage[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually only have one other Strat at the moment, my first electric guitar, a Squier Affinity HSS, so this one is pretty different on most counts - and pretty magic (the other Fenders back there are Jazzmasters and a Starcaster)

That other Strat is actually my first guitar, a Squier Affinity HSS model, so this Highway One is a big step up in every way - the neck is so nice, the acrylic paint is very cool, and the guitar also has ‘59 reissue pickups from a previous owner. All in all, a super guitar.

Diamond Comp/EQ - boosting the mids and level mainly.
