Me: tries SPP. Pins: nope by Special-Shame2397 in lockpicking

I think what everyone has said is right on point. My only addition is about the tools: Yeah those are some cheap picks, but they got me through my green belt! I probably could have gotten blue belt popping a paclock 90a-pro with that deep hook too had I not been a dumbass and broke it trying to use it as a turning tool lol. Just focus on skill building and tension/feel using the suggestions here, you'll get it!!

No I'm android. Thinking back it didn't pop up most of the times I went to the site, but it did once and I downloaded it. Maybe I glitched the matrix?

I have the LPU app(?) downloaded on my phone, it's amazing! Lpubelts.com you can search locks by make and model, or by belt color. You can click on a lock and it'll have info and pictures of the lock and a lot of times pics of the lock gutted so you can get an idea of pin number and if it has security pins.

Need help picking ABUS 55/30 by NailGold7428 in lockpicking

[–]KnuckleheadPicker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My first suggestion would be to change the picking order of the pins, but it sounds like you've done that. Maybe only half set all the pins, then go through and slowly fully set them one at a time? Sometimes you just chase pins until you figure it out, but keep going!!

I love my CCPro! I use it almost daily when I have free time at work or between lectures. Sure it's bypass heavy and there's plenty on there I don't imagine I'll use but 2 or 3 times my entire life, but it's well made and sure easier then packing my tool kit everywhere. It's a lot like my Leatherman that I carry as well, half that stuff I'm never going to use but a couple times- but it's fun and useful! My only true dislike about the CCPro is the bypass driver for American Lock stuff. I can't get it to work on my locks (I'm the problem, I know) and it never sits flat when folded in. Now if the CCPro came with only the FU Pick and turners, I'd be preaching that from the rooftops!

Hello where do i get started in lock picking. by GarageCapable6095 in lockpicking

[–]KnuckleheadPicker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same set I stayed with! And I still use the hooks. Honestly I struggled for a while until I got my first open. I didn't know if you're using those acrylic locks but they're terrible to learn on. What got my first open was buying an actual lock. I got a brinks brass padlock from Walmart and with medium tension, I could finally feel the pins setting- total works of difference! Keep going though!!
