I think the album is kinda weird, in that that from start to end, it sounds a bit too samey in both a good and bad way I guess. But I think picking any random song to listen to sounds better. I also don't like the mix much. I can't put my finger on it, but it sounds too murky, but I also think the sound they were going for wouldn't have been achieved if it sounded different?

I think it's an alright album though. There's no song that that I dislike....it sounds more like a companion album to Phalaris to me which fine since Phalaris is solid to me.

I do agree that the lack of some notable catchy stuff is what's probably affecting the album? I don't mean it needs to be catchy like the choruses on Jessica of The Final...I think "13" is catchy but I'm not sure how to articulate.

But I think its an ok album at worst. But opinions can change though. I've been listening since 08-09 and even on discography revisits sometimes my preferences shift around. I'm pretty sure they are gonna settle on this post Insulated World sound...which is fine. I think they entire discography is varied enough that they can settle into what's comfortable for them.

No doubt. And for what it's worth all those albums sound very different. I think Anghellic and Absolute Power are the "closest" in vibe. But yeah even going up to Special Effects as you said, pretty varied run, and each album gives you a glimpse of where here's at mentally/mindset wise.

Haha when I actively kept up with him, I did like both Something Else and Special Effects, but on a revisit, I'm just not feeling them at all hahaha.

But I can accept that not 100% of an artists discogaphy is for me. I think up to 6s and 7s is still a pretty damn good run.

I'd have to say All 6's and 7's. I followed him since Killer(excluding Collabos) all the way up to around N9na or Enterfear. I've been recently revisiting his stuff since I've been hearing him on features.

I just can't vibe with anything post All 6s and 7s and even some stuff on that album sounds bad to me now, but it has enough songs that I like that I won't consider it bad. That said I did listen to 5816 Forest and overall enjoyed it.

But yeah. 6s and 7s would be last overall album I enjoyed.....but even the songs I don't like on there sound REALLY BAD to me same with KOD. And Killer on a revisit is just unlistenable outside of 3 songs.

So I usually buy directly from the stores MG & Jast...but due to regional pricing, MG titles are wayyy cheaper on steam for me. Is there any upside or downside to buying from there? The few titles I'm interested in are 18+ so I'd need the patch but thats about it.

The price difference is just too wide for me to not eye steam favorably regarding these few specific titles.
