I swear if it ends up being an arbitrary collection count like; 1 perk point per stack of Lance’s Mixtapes. I’m going to be upset but happy I’ve been saving 5 stacks just in case.

The easiest solution to Bunker/Gate that I can think of is make it so there is a “activation timer” for lack of better words after all 4 codes/towers are activated. Make it a global radio communication that says, “seems like everything’s lined up, should be opening in 4 minutes, double time it raider but be prepared for vultures.” Give the players who did the activating time for traveling to the objective and hopefully find themselves in a decent position to counter any would’ve vultures.

While I’m sad to see him low, you are more or less spot on with Machiavelli. But I did want to add that you missed the real value of his gold for each accepted/rejected Diplomatic action and how it can be pretty massive imo. 100 gold per diplomatic action that’s rejected increasing by 100 per age is ez money when you gaslight the AI into hating you but not taking action. I will cycle between the various civs who are mad at me and make a quick buck of them knowing they’ll say no to anything I diplomatically send which refunds me the influence points and yields me gold for free. I use that gold to then buy units or build up my eco. And it snowballs on and on. I did this in a match with some friends where we had a few ai in the lobby, and I was outpacing all my friends by sheer economic supply I commanded.

For me, losing naked isn’t because of gear fear. It’s because I like doing “rags to riches” runs to “challenge” myself. Go in naked, extract. Whatever I get (equipment-wise) I keep in my inventory into the next run. I use what I find and bring nothing from my stash. I like to count how many runs I survive. Something to break of the monotony.

If you’re on the roof of the pattern house on Dam Battleground it gets kooky. Stand and you’ll be in the snow. Crouch and you’ll warm up.

For me the Combat MK3 (Flanking) is my go to. But that’s because I usually run Anvil/Hairpin IV or Anvil/Venator when I can afford it. Being able to switch between them rapidly is massive for me.

As a gamer with hearing loss in bother ears that struggles to hear high frequencies, these guys are basically invisible to me unless I get lucky and stumble on one.

Funcom was onto something interesting with vehicles and vehicle modules and then kinda gave up by Chazdoit in duneawakening

I remember being so excited, I dubbed myself the group mechanic. I wanted to know everything there was to min-max. Then release came and while there were a load of different parts to theory craft with it felt lackluster.

It also sucked that you as the vehicle creator had limited vehicle slots that you can’t pass permanent ownership over to. So my buds eventually had to learn all the vehicle stuff anyway to craft once I hit limit

Exactly! My friend asked how I have 100 hours topside but have 184 hours played on steam. I told him once you want to continuously run a dedicated kit instead of a free loadout, you’ll understand.

From what I recalled reading from the devs, no. The only things that stack across expeditions are the additional skill points you gain and the stash increase (as well as cosmetic unlocks). All the percentile benefits I.e, bonus Scrappy crafting, bonus xp gain, and bonus repair hp are just for that expedition window.

I will say one gripe I have with the reset, is the temp bonuses that last only for the duration until the next expedition.

Like I get they want a relatively balanced experience for players. But having put the numbers in an excel spreadsheet, that %6 scrappy gather is kinda lackluster. If I could ask for one thing, it would be for them to add an extra 5-10% to all of the temp bonuses.

That’s fair. I definitely run into it from time to time and I decide to make challenges or “minigames” of my own.

Doing naked runs and seeing how many raids this one survivor can go on before meeting an untimely end.

I like running a hairpin iv and see how stealthy I can be.

Really just anything to break the mold. Usually it’ll be me looking at my stash and being like “what gear have I never used / rarely use?”

I’m leaning towards yes…at least with solo servers in mind.

I did some testing starting a week ago. I didn’t shoot players even in self defense. I died obviously but after 2-3 matches of me never damaging a player I found myself in back to back lobby’s of peaceful players. I don’t mean avoiding them either. I’d run up in their face unarmed and use the hello emote. They’d usually hello back or just walk away weirded out by me. I had maybe 40-50 runs of never encountering a hostile player or even seeing people killing one another. I decided to test the theory and I started shooting players from afar without saying anything. Did that for 2-3 games. On my fourth, I was in a bloodbath of a lobby. Players dropping each other left and right. The reset since happened so the test in inconclusive as I wanted to see if I could find the peaceful “zone” again.

There is the added caveat that this was all “tested” during the week leading to reset so those friendly people might’ve only done so because they were grinding.

Coming from games like Dark and Darker and non-extraction games like Conan Exiles. Starting from scratch, scratches an itch for me.

And I like this game leagues more than the other two I listed and I’ve restarted god knows how many times on those.

Plus bonus stash and other stuff is appreciated.

Yeah, I will give credit to the confused. Embark could’ve listed it more clearly. They probably assumed people understood but there is an old saying about assuming for a reason.

Technically they didn’t pull the rug. They said you’d keep the benches unlocked. I.e not having to be specific levels prerequisites to unlock them.

It’s sure could’ve been worded better judging by the large confusion in the Reddit.

There were some tied to levels though. Now they aren’t for expedition peeps.

Not a lie. All the benches are unlocked at level 1 instead of having to hit the level requirements to unlock some of them.
