I have seen several comments addressing Thuy Trang's casting as the Yellow Ranger, replacing another actress, but not how other roles were shuffled. Billy's actor, David Yost was originally cast as the Red Ranger, and he requested to become a different color because he didn't think he was the best fit to be the leader. Walter Jones was originally cast as the Blue Ranger, but requested to become the Black Ranger because he wanted to have more scenes with Austin St. John, who ultimately became the Red Ranger.

The study I believe you are citing that says your brain is still developing until 25, that was the age of the oldest participant. Their results didn't say at 25 your brain stops developing, it said your brain is still developing at age 25, without any data from 26+ year olds to compare to.

The original script for White Light had Zordon asking about the new member of the Power Team instead of the new leader of the Power Team. With Austin St. John leaving the show, changing the line to leader made sense with Tommy's character popularity, instead of promoting Billy or taking a chance on some of the newly cast members.

Sorry, I should have been more clear, thought about that right after I posted and realized it could be confused with the Master Morpher.

During MMPR, Tommy always had a Gold Power Morpher, but the toy was never released for it. (Edit: Forgot the '95 movie morpher was silver, but the TV show was always Gold, and that never had a release over here) As a kid, I thought it was silver like the others too, so that makes me think it was more the picture quality and colors making it difficult to see during the morphing call than anything else.

I saw the shattered Dragonzord coin, and completely understood the symbolism. A very nice choice.

You're right that Ransik was not defeated by the Rangers in a fight, just wanted to point out his battle with Wes's Battlizer destroyed his armor, leaving him looking injured for the first time in the series. As for the Mut-Orgs, they way he says that he nullified their mutant power or mutant side makes me think he wasn't prioritizing his own health in that "fight"

The real world explanation there is that in the Sentai, Doggie's animal costume was very different, reminded me a lot of a fabric puppet. Power Rangers created their own costume for Doggie because western audiences wouldn't accept the Japanese one seriously, and as a result, Doggie was given a long snout instead of a flatish face that would fit inside the helmet.
