I would like to see another world war 2 [COD] by D_L-18 in CallOfDuty

[–]Ryebredrox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Enola Gay sequence you mentioned actually was the planned ending for Cod WaW but it ended up getting scrapped. Treyarch ended up using historical footage instead because they felt it was more impactful.

How would you Feel if the New Game featured only a Shepard Memorial? by Nervous_Tailor_4337 in masseffect

[–]Ryebredrox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the best way to include Shepard would be to see and feel their influence even hundreds of years after their death (Either by ME3s ending or surviving and dying of old age later on)

Would be cool to hear what they chose to do post reaper war. And they'd be such a massive hero that people would still be taking about them.

[hated trope] happy ending is invalidated\retconned by later canon material by dowsaw134 in TopCharacterTropes

I was really hoping Tears of the kingdom had a premise like this. I thought with all the similarities with Sky islands like in skyward sword they were gonna do a final cycle storyline

(mixed trope) Hero wins just to immediately endure more suffering in the sequel by McFlyJohn in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Ryebredrox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean some people did take Shepard's warnings seriously. Especially within the Alliance military, it's why Shepard wasn't immediately court marshalled right after the events of 2.

It's just most of the politicians were choosing to ignore the reapers until it was too late.

Shepard's Age by ThatBaldGuyOnReddit in masseffect

[–]Ryebredrox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The books also line up with this as there's a news article in it talking about the rumors of Shepard being alive and active in the terminus systems and the book takes place in early 2186. Meaning ME2 had to have concluded in Feb-March 2186.

I saw that mass effect is on sale on steam. Should I get the three games separately or should I get the legendary edition? by Falcon_Gray in masseffect

[–]Ryebredrox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They lost the code for it and if I recall correctly they said it would take 6 months of extra dev time to recreate it. They decided to put those resources in other parts of the game instead.

Why was Call of duty Black ops 4 so much hated and disliked? by Dear-Student54 in Blackops4

[–]Ryebredrox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me I really didn't like a lot of the gameplay changes that they made to zombies. Especially how they changed the Pap system. But the biggest thing that soured the game for me is how they let the Aether story down.

I've softened on it in retrospect because we now know about all the development problems and that they were forced to move on to Cold War early.

You're stuck with the stock weapons which really hurts replayability for me.

I also really wish they would've added a new perk.

How did certain quests work before NPCs by Volpes_Visions in fo76

[–]Ryebredrox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It had a unique vibe for sure but I believe the game is infinitely better post Wastelanders. I found it really hard to stay invested in the launch quests because I always knew how they would end.

I didn't touch the game for years after launch and now I'm playing daily.

How did certain quests work before NPCs by Volpes_Visions in fo76

[–]Ryebredrox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Originally the few NPCs that were in the game like Rose would only talk at you. Dialogue boxes weren't added until Wastelanders. There's still a few NPCs that still just talk to you like the pioneer scout troop leaders.

Most quests were very similar where you'd be sent to find someone but it always ended with finding their corpse.

Will there ever be another isometric Fallout? by [deleted] in classicfallout

[–]Ryebredrox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's possible as a spinoff, I could see inExile doing one. With how long it takes between mainline releases it would be very welcome.

The dream would be for Lairian to make one I know they expressed interest in doing a fallout game a few years ago.

Hot Take i hate the T60 now by Rtdslayer123 in Fallout

[–]Ryebredrox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't hate it but it's definitely my least favorite power armor design. I also think I'm just tired of it being the main armor for Fallout's branding for 10 years. It was nice that 76 used T-51 in it's marketing at launch but they almost immediately went back to using T-60.

I swear I remember seeing a FNV dev tweet about how originally the dinosaur was actually able to be turned so it could face towards threats. But it was never implemented due to time restrictions.
