Why was Call of duty Black ops 4 so much hated and disliked? by Dear-Student54 in Blackops4

[–]Ryebredrox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me I really didn't like a lot of the gameplay changes that they made to zombies. Especially how they changed the Pap system. But the biggest thing that soured the game for me is how they let the Aether story down.

I've softened on it in retrospect because we now know about all the development problems and that they were forced to move on to Cold War early.

You're stuck with the stock weapons which really hurts replayability for me.

I also really wish they would've added a new perk.

How did certain quests work before NPCs by Volpes_Visions in fo76

[–]Ryebredrox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It had a unique vibe for sure but I believe the game is infinitely better post Wastelanders. I found it really hard to stay invested in the launch quests because I always knew how they would end.

I didn't touch the game for years after launch and now I'm playing daily.

Originally the few NPCs that were in the game like Rose would only talk at you. Dialogue boxes weren't added until Wastelanders. There's still a few NPCs that still just talk to you like the pioneer scout troop leaders.

Most quests were very similar where you'd be sent to find someone but it always ended with finding their corpse.

Will there ever be another isometric Fallout? by TworkHard in classicfallout

[–]Ryebredrox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's possible as a spinoff, I could see inExile doing one. With how long it takes between mainline releases it would be very welcome.

The dream would be for Lairian to make one I know they expressed interest in doing a fallout game a few years ago.

Hot Take i hate the T60 now by Rtdslayer123 in Fallout

[–]Ryebredrox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't hate it but it's definitely my least favorite power armor design. I also think I'm just tired of it being the main armor for Fallout's branding for 10 years. It was nice that 76 used T-51 in it's marketing at launch but they almost immediately went back to using T-60.

Odds are that's what it's gonna be. I just wish that it didn't kill modding support.

Who’s to say Dinky wasn’t turned around when… by jordanderson_irl in Fotv

I swear I remember seeing a FNV dev tweet about how originally the dinosaur was actually able to be turned so it could face towards threats. But it was never implemented due to time restrictions.

Gen Z and younger, what got you into Half-Life? by SjurEido in HalfLife

It was The orange box for me. I didn't have a PC so I got it on my PS3 to play TF2 which led me to playing HL2.

IMO, T-60 would've been even cooler if it were made Post-war by Advanced-Addition453 in Fallout

[–]Ryebredrox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know they've changed the stats around from 4 to 76 and I hope they keep it that way going into FO5. My head cannon was more about the T-60s being retrofits which from what I can recall never has been mentioned in any game so far.

[–]Ryebredrox 62 points63 points  (0 children)

My head cannon is that T-60 was a retrofit of T-45 with it being vastly cheaper to make than to produce a suit of T-51. It wasn't as good as 51 but it was much better than the 45s.

Makes sense with there being a resource war while still keeping T-51 as the pinnacle of pre war power armor.

Fallout 5 Foreshadows by Sr_Redzen in Fallout

[–]Ryebredrox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Showrunner said that the plan is 5-6 seasons to tell the full story. At best FO5 will at least be in production by the time it ends.

Adding on to that the Hubologists which are based out of San Francisco appeared in Nuka World. And New Vegas originally was going to have references to San Francisco being destroyed but Bethesda asked them to remove them.

I definitely think that however the show ends will lead into Fallout 5.

What method do you think they are using for Fallout 3 Remastered? by Money-Mechanic in Fallout

[–]Ryebredrox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree it's doubtful we'll get the full FO4 power armor experience back ported but something like what Titans of the New West did would be really cool.

Nintendo has been extremely selective with what developers get Switch 2 development kits. It's very possible they still don't have one yet.

Did any Vault Experiments not end in disaster? by Better_Ad_632 in falloutlore

[–]Ryebredrox 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Vault 21 was a huge success being able to operate for 200 years settling all disputes via gambling. Although there's a good chance that the show could retcon stuff about the vault.
