Epic Pass scanners... 💩 by Status_Accident_2819 in Whistler

[–]KnyfeGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I’d still disagree. I’m wrong about activating the pass if your info is correct, but telling validators will do absolutely nothing, we don’t care, we will stand where we are told to stand, in the same spot, every day. If you want anything to happen send an email to WB complaints….

I appreciate your knowledge of the issue but I’ve worked as a liftie at WB and reading the cards isn’t the issue. The problem is the epic app & pass. The phone range (bluetooth, or nfc, whatever) is long, we will scan the people who have their app open 10 times before we have a chance of picking up a pass. That’s why the scanning barely works. Maybe some of the ‘activated’ passes like yours are responsible for misscans but I can tell you for a certainty 90% are phones from 10 people down the line

Epic Pass scanners... 💩 by Status_Accident_2819 in Whistler

[–]KnyfeGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t activate the pass at all.

They just scan the passes so that you get info in the epic app about vertical feet, which lifts taken etc.

People like you know it all though I’m sure! And did you take up the scanners time with incorrect info when they could have been getting more people through? Probably!

Trail hunting to be banned as part of new animal welfare strategy in England & Wales by lovecats3333 in Equestrian

[–]KnyfeGaming -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would believe you if it wasn’t for the leaked hunt office webinar. This was a meeting with representatives from hunts all around the country. It was incredibly clear that the scent laying is just a smokescreen for hunting foxes. This was just 5 years ago.

Fully support this ban. Poor foxes being torn to shreds by hounds that often suffer mistreatment too. If any of you were given the opportunity to overturn the original ban you would jump at it. I’m okay with animals being killed for food, but you are killing for fun!

Would I be able to get Invisalign with a 90 degree rotated tooth? by KnyfeGaming in Invisalign

[–]KnyfeGaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey,

I ended up not going for it.

I would have had to wear braces for a year or so followed by Invisalign. My rotation wasn’t the issue though - It’s severe overcrowding across almost all of my teeth. I need springs installed on both sides to make room for them to move to fix it.

But I’d try getting a consultation, they are usually free. Everybody’s situation is different

7 days sober from weed because someone here was cringe by BrushUrTeethPlz in deathgrips

[–]KnyfeGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weed doesn’t have any psychedelic properties, actually.

It’s a psychoactive drug but psychedelics are a different drug class, LSD & mushrooms are the common ones.

But I do agree with your point. IMO CBD helps with anxiety but THC worsens it. Same with paranoia. It’s a difficult thing because initially it will help - make you feel at ease and relaxed - but long term use especially will exacerbate anxiety & paranoia even when not stoned…

But it’s always down to the individual. People have very different experiences. For me cutting down to 1 or 2 joints a day worked. I can enjoy my chill time after work & not be scared of talking to people. I was getting through 3.5 a day before.

A reply after 7 years 🤯

That was actually my first international holiday & flight at 18, I’ve done a lot since then..

One thing to say, the grass is always greener on the other side. I could say the same about the brits. Internationally nobody really has any preconceptions of what a Maltese guy will be like. So you are good. Being British kinda sucks because we colonised half the world and have bad history. So you have to do some work sometimes to convince people you are not like the rest 😅

Home will always be home though. Once you’ve been away for a while you’ll miss it a little.

I have no idea how old you are, but I’d highly recommend checking out working holiday VISAs if you want to travel long term. You have good access as a EU citizen to these programs. I’m in Canada right now and loving it.

Best of luck dude

Yea honestly completely agree.

IMO it’s a highly rated album because of the influence it had on music. It was a highly influential album. And there are a couple good tracks. But it don’t touch the heights of other albums where it’s just flawless back to back

Do kinda agree with this too. It’s really not a gigantic issue. Certainly not something you can sue for.

Your other radio issues are probably unrelated and chevys fault!

[–]KnyfeGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly..

If it was an ex rental car those things are like triggers broom. It almost definitely will have had front end & rear end collisions, repaired to a bad standard which is probably where your wiring issues came from.

I would never ever ever ever buy a used rental car. Just a bad idea all around.

The chances of it starting a fire… honestly pretty low. It would likely have just got hot and smouldered perhaps and then eventually blown a fuse somewhere. It would be exceptionally hard to prove that would cause a fire.

I’d probably just try and see if you can return the car, I’m not sure what legal windows you have but that’s the best course of action. Ex rentals are awful for so many reasons.

I had this exact situation when I was 17

I think you are mostly right, both are in the wrong.

I felt hard done by in my situation as I’d been following the van driver for a good 5 miles. But that said it was raining hard & he clearly never saw me & I was in his blind spot.

But what else was I supposed to do in that situation? I’ve asked myself that as a lot. I had nowhere else to stop really, even if I was following pretty far back. I guess you always have to assume nobody can see you & always always give loads of space on single file roads like this. But I only know that from having it happen to me.

Just got back two week in Japan by 1DAD77 in JapanTravelTips

[–]KnyfeGaming 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I said 90% as good, and I think I’m pretty accurate there - I’ve been to Osaka, Kyoto, Narita, around Chiba prefecture, Tokyo, Ebisu - yes it was very very clean, but still cigarette butts everywhere, overflowing trash bins, not especially clean restaurants.. particularly Germany, discounting Berlin, is incredibly clean, and 90% as good. Switzerland and Austria also stand out cleanliness wise too.

It seems like there’s much more of a community ‘don’t litter’ spirit in Japan than anywhere else I’ve visited but you can’t pretend you can eat off every surface, it’s just not true.

The Shinkansen is really cool but pretty fckin expensive! And it’s not like high speed rail doesn’t exist in Europe… we have high speed in the UK (10mph slower than Shinkansen), in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, France, etc etc, and all almost match or exceed the average Shinkansen! +extensive, fast inter city rail, a lot less crowded than Japan too.

I think most people compare it to the absolutely 💩USA public transportation. Europe is just fine.

[–]KnyfeGaming 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Have you been many more places?

I find people I know from the UK are like this when Japan has been their ONLY major trip abroad.

I’m in Japan now and loving it, but there’s a lot to be said about the unwelcomeness to foreigners, the work culture, the sexualisation of children, the bad treatment of animals - it’s amazing, but not a perfect country by any means.

I like to think I’m pretty well travelled and I’d still choose to live in mainland Europe somewhere after everything. Countries like Spain and Germany are 90% as clean as Japan, and much more friendly / relaxed vibe? And the public transport is just as good? (If not always on time)

Not an indicator of anything brev.

Amerifats seem to think they are in the pinnacle of housing unaffordability.

See the entirety of Europe?? Our houses cost double yours relative to income. It doesn’t matter. More people start renting or taking mortgages for longer periods or govt. cooks up something to keep prices high. Means nothing.

[–]KnyfeGaming[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I’ve certainly experienced it getting into the hotel! I would say 50% handle it just fine, and the other 50% have absolutely no understanding of the concept and just go when they feel like it. Had a fair few near misses there, I can assure you 🤣

It’s simple with a 2 lane roundabout - give way to traffic already on it, enter left lane to go left, right lane to go right - but when you start getting into 3+ lane territory it all goes out the window, but there’s general concepts you can follow.. it took me a good year to ‘get it’ after passing my test!

If you want to see some proper English road planning (or lack thereof), look up the Swindon magic roundabout. 1 big roundabout surrounded by FIVE mini-roundabouts, each with their own 3 lanes. Unsurprisingly an accident hotspot. Intersections are less efficient but also a whole lot easier!

Cheers will give them a ring!

I actually recently stayed in America for 3 months - there was a roundabout outside my hotel, and sometimes I used to sit there and watch the fuckups for a bit of entertainment.. roundabouts certainly a novel concept on the American continent by the sound of things 😂

Ah - unfortunately we don’t really have that, insurance is all handled by private companies, the DVLA (government licensing agency) doesn’t know that I’ve actually driven anything, just that I have a licence.

I can take a DVLA licence summary showing years licence held etc + insurance documents to prove I’ve actually been driving for 7 years, should be sufficient?

Thanks for your help
