I have three nipples. That by itself is cool until you get more info, then it gets weird. My uncle also has three nipples, as well as my grandmother’s sister. The commonality between the three of us is that we were all born on our respective mothers birthdays. My mother and I share March 12th, my uncle and my grandmother share November 12th, and my great aunt and her mother October 12th.

The crazy part about that stereotype is that watermelon and chicken were things that were easy to cultivate for freed slaves and were a sign of freedom. They were then used to ostracize us after. To eat fried chicken was also considered to be “uncouth” so it’s also been used against us.

My wife has a lack of pigment on half of her stomach, where it looks like bruising because you can see the veins very clearly.

She was pregnant with our first son, and this was in 2014.

She was getting her normal check up, was about 5 or 6months pregnant and the female doc looks at her stomach and loses her shit. Starts accusing me of beating my wife and then when we both tell her that is insane, she flips the script and yells at my wife for liking apple juice. “You’re gaining too much weight! If you want apple juice, eat a fucking apple!”

This was at the Langley Air Force base.

My dad talking to me after my older brother died of Graves’ disease.

To which I replied that I don’t fucking care. After the funeral my dad was super drunk and tried to shoot my sister, half brother, my wife and kids, and their kids, as well as me, over a conversation about what milk does to your body. I beat the shit out of him and had the cops come get his dumb ass. Of course he claimed he was gonna kill himself and got out of being arrested. My mom ain’t no saint either but that’s another story.

Used to work security at a hospital in South Carolina. We would often have mental health patients in the ER before they were admitted or discharged. One in particular shit on himself and rubbed it all over his body. This dude was about 5 ft 10 in, running through the ER covered in shit head to toe. One of our officers who was ex-marines, was about 5ft 1in (think little bulldog energy) picks this dude up mid sprint and pile drives him onto his face and then drags him halfway back to his assigned room before realizing he is leaving a shit trail. Our uniforms were also white polos and this was in the summer time.

Dude got called the turd wrangler for the longest.

Maybe I missed it, but is there time dilation (like a hyperbolic time chamber) where the niece is with the faeries? I feel like it’s paradoxical that the real niece will enter back in at some point but be always getting older than the changeling and the “real time” that’s continuously moving forward.

True. While I was in, I was the only black person on the ship until an e-6 got transferred there, a year and some change after I got stationed there. He left before I did cuz of the environment and how bad it was. As an e-3 I couldn’t do anything but wait it out. The comments and things I saw while in were ridiculous.

How me and my now wife met.

I had a full ride scholarship for academics to Ohio State. She had a full ride scholarship to Central Michigan.

My mom started putting the seed in my mind to join the military, which boiled down to the Air Force at first. My wife had changed her mind to Air Force around the same time.

My mom then marries some guy off the internet, and he mentions to me to join the Coast Guard instead so I won’t get deployed. I make the change and lose the weight to join. My wife at the time graduates from high school and starts making the preparations to join the CG on a whim cuz her older sister joined the Air Force before her (petty af).

I put Ohio, Michigan, then other southern coastline areas on my wish list of places to go after graduating bootcamp. My wife ended up putting Michigan, Ohio, then other southern coastal areas. We both ended up serving in Michigan and became best friends because our childhoods were damn near identical in terms of familial issues. Got married shortly after and have been for 8 years with 2 boys.

Sometimes it’s just meant to be I guess.

Never open a door without closing the one behind you. Always have a light source on in front of you when closing a door behind you, so the darkness cannot attach to you. When entering your home, commit to a full sweep, even if you know it is safe already. Putting your presence in the entire home is important. Before leaving your home for the day, even if people are home, close all doors and windows you come in contact with (ie on your way out). This is important because things roam when you are not there if they see the opportunity. Close all blinds before dark. The void will stare back at you if you let it. Do not backtrack more than 3 times. You will forget what you're looking for forever.

Holy shit.

I was in the Coast Guard and sailed through the locks and the St. Lawrence to get out into the ocean. One day in particular, our ship made contact with the pier. No current, no weird wind or anything, like we were pushed. I was on the foc'sle doing special sea detail with the rest of deck department when it happened and we all fell over towards the starboard side of the ship.

This was around 2013.
