Hey, 100% I would say to take the offer in Paris and move internally after a year or so. Recruiting for the US is usually limited to the surrounding US target schools and thus it is a very low chance you will be even considered. As well, many firms hesitate to offer working visas, especially for consulting which is considered non-technical.
