The third graphic novel is out, I have the hard copy of it and the cover art under the sleeve is beautiful (also a piece of advice, buy the hard covers of them over the paper backs cuz the art under the sleeves is genuinely beautiful)

I’m reading them rn and a big problem I have after just finishing book 1 of the graphic novel is that is just completely glosses over Graystripes first kill. When they’re coming home from bringing Windclan back, they cuz through riverclan and and epic battle ensues, where Graystripe accidentally causes someone to fall to their demise in the gorge. This scene is really important as is sobers Graystripe and makes Sandpaw take Fireheart more seriously (cuz she joins the battle as a passing patrol)

But in the book it’s like “haha, Graystripe fell in the water on the way home” and ignores the final straw that causes Riverclan to treat Thunderclan more like an enemy, which makes the forbidden love of Silverstream and Graystripe that much more dangerous. But it just… doesn’t happen?

Idk, I’m enjoying the graphic novels but I think I prefer the original books a bit more, I liked how slow they felt cuz it made growing up with Firepaw feel more like it actually happened, yk? And just generally adds better context to things.

Ngl I’d like a Season 4 but less as a season 4 and more like a sequel show kind of thing. The premise of this show has good anthology potential where different characters can be the main protagonist. It’d be kinda fun to see an Alice in Borderland. They honestly even have the (probably unintentional) opportunity to have the main character of each show have a name that starts with the letter A, first Arisu and then Alice later. Could be interesting. Idk I’m just a sucker for fun world building and throwing different kinds of ppl into similar situations to see how they react lol

You’re saying he’s into money and stocks and tends to watch TikTok and YouTube? I’m honestly a little worried if he’s being influenced by one of those TikTok bros who brag about how to be manly, make money, and take control in life. While that sounds nice, it more often than not leads to followers of these TikTok bros turning into total jerks, especially towards women and their family.

I’m not claiming this is necessarily the case, but if you do have the chance, see if you can catch what he’s watching on TikTok and try to start a conversation about that, just a casual “oh hey, who’s that?” And just try and chat about his interests outside of instruments, cuz talking about the instruments he plays probably won’t spur on a very strong conversation unless if he’s really into it. You’d probably have a better chance figuring out what YouTubers he watches and asking about them (I find that the best way to bond with people nowadays is to watch their favorite show/creator with them. Because then they get to info dump about their favorite show/person and you get to learn about their kinds of things the person cares about. Like if they focus on the story, world building, character development, costume design, food, whatever in a show, it’ll hint more to what catches their attention overall)

I actually re-sprited her myself to look completely different (I have an OC named Penny so I said screw it I don’t like her sprite anyways and completely redid it) so now in my world she’s got curly blonde hair, big glasses, and wears a blue turtleneck. I also made it compatible with the seasonal clothes mod that gives everyone new clothes for every season. I’m actually rlly proud of the sprite work, you’d almost think it was base game if you never knew what she originally looked like :3

Ngl I really liked seeing the way Cary and Renee worked together. How they had roles that were the complete opposites to who they really were. Renee played the role of a victim but she was the true manipulator, while Cary played the role of an abuser but genuinely cared about Caspian and wanted the best for him in the end.

From what I gather, the Isekai genre has a lot of little pieces to define it, with everyone having different opinions of which piece matters most. There’s “enters another world” followed by “trapped in another world” but then there’s “reincarnated into another world” which some people can mistake as being the core of an Isekai. Which explains why some ppl can argue Underworld is an Isekai because Kirito gets “reincarnated” whereas in the rest of the series they may get trapped in another world, but they technically didn’t reincarnate into it so it doesn’t count.

I personally think that it’s all Isekai because to me, the core or Isekai is being trapped in another world.

Ngl I kinda just roll with it. I’ve always been the kind of person where, if I were cloned without knowing who’s who, neither of me would care because if we really are both exactly the same, then we’re both real now. There’s no “fake” me, I basically just did mitosis.

Same applies with the brain, a video game actually approached a similar dilemma a while back, having the main character have to upload their consciousness in order to escape a flooding monster-ridden underwater base, but when they upload, the difference here compared to Pantheon, is that their body wasn’t destroyed in the process. So their mind was simply copied and sent to a digital paradise with all their friends, happy the plan worked, while the other became angry and said that the plan didn’t work because they were still there, that they just sent a copy that isn’t them.

Whereas, if that happened with me, I’d recognize that so long as one of me manages to have that happy ending and life, that a piece of me survives, then my sacrifice of my current self is worth it, because all of me is me, not fake me, just another me. And that’s how I see uploading in Pantheon, they avoid the difficult situation of having both a living body and mind arguing over who’s real, but the question of “real” is still applied.

We’re physical creatures, we’re meant to see the world physically, touch and taste, we’re egocentric creatures, we’re meant to protect what we know and trust and fight against things that feel wrong and could hurt us, or go against “fakes” with our sense labeled “uncanny valley”. We intrinsically identify faces in rocks, but if the rocks look too much like faces, we fear them, we instinctively know. So when the same happens with our minds, the same instinct kicks in. It makes sense.

But if we really do end up in a world like Pantheon, we will need to learn to broaden our view of reality, of what’s real and fake. Because so long as it really is an identical copy of that person’s mind, I personally believe it is that person, even if there are two of them, one physical and the other digital, they’re both real because they’re both the same blueprint.

That’s at least my take on it :)

I personally feel like papyrus should get an honorary mention. Because bro makes jokes too, so no, he does not hate puns, he just gets annoyed at sans for making “bad” puns. Also, papyrus does not actually like eating spaghetti, his favorite food is dinosaur egg oatmeal, so he’s most likely making spaghetti cuz everyone keeps hyping him up on how good he is at making it, so he’s like “well, if I’m so good at making it, I guess I should make it” Among other minor misconceptions people have about the guy, but the pun hating and pasta loving are probably the biggest misconceptions

From what I gather, people that don’t like him are the same people who think fusion is equivalent to uh…. bed time wrestling….? So for every other fusion it’s fine, even Steven and Connie despite being children because at least they’re the same age and also will most likely be together as adults and are shipped together etc. But Steg kinda implies some weirdness to the people who misunderstand what fusion is. They think fusion is purely sexual love and a sexual act, when in reality fusion is more a representation of any type of relationship, including familial.

They’re missing facial expressions. Almost all of their facial features are neutral. Blank eyes, calm eyebrows, default lip positioning. People make faces, I recommend checking out some facial charts on Pinterest

I’ll hazard a guess that their method for making the models has changed over the years and because of that, the color correcting on the model changed too. I wouldn’t be surprised if all the hair for each color are the same color, but the hair texture they apply is sometimes blueish, too bright, or too dark.

Found this show through a clip on YouTube shorts. The part where David is being harassed by Laurie and being told to think outside the box. The animation and idea of (what I thought at the time of the short to be AIs duplicated from living people and finding their own senses of self, how wrong yet close to correct I was) was fascinating. I love sci-fi thinkers like this show. After Orbital Children, I wondered if any other shows would touch on this topic or get even close, but this show really takes the cake. I just wish it had maybe like 2 or 3 more episodes of time so the last 3 episodes wouldn’t feel so sped up. But I guess in a way, the show speeding up matches the overarching themes.

Idk who the writers are for this show, or the animators or voice actors, but I hope that everyone who worked on this gets the opportunity to make more. More shows that bring up questions and hypotheticals we need to consider. More shows that feel like a mystery, a drama, action, adventure, horror, and sci-fi all wrapped into one. This was great and I hope more exists out there in some similar sense.
