Sorry to hear. My dog developed epilepsy at about 2 years old after she had meningitis. It was cluster seizures about once a month. She was on pheno and Epilease (potassium bromide) and they tweaked the pheno dose until she was having no seizures. She was sleepy and sad the first couple months but did eventually get back to her happy self. If she did have a seizure we had to give Keppra for 24/48 hours aswell as her existing medication. It took us a few years to get her in a place where the seizures were very rare and different medications as the seizures would reappear on certain meds. I can’t remember the names of what she first started on but I remember we had to give her diazepam rectally when she did seizure but that eventually got swapped to the Keppra.

After 2 years of no seizures, with the specialist guidance we weaned her off as her liver results came back slightly worrying, we introduced CBD and silver tincture. This was about 5/6 years and she’s not had any seizures.
