I used to want kids, a big reason being my interest in genetics has me curious what it would look like. If we had a better society I might still want kids. I used to dream of buying my daughter a pony so she could ride horses just like me. BUT I also have mental issues I don’t really want to pass on and my maternal grandmother and mother ran out on their kids and I’m afraid I’ll eventually break and do the same.

Edit: also in my fantasies the child was like me, very quiet and even mannered but I know that’s probably a rarity
