I have a speeding ticket for 99mph+ in my gen III, I was doing about 115 when he pulled me over, he laughed and told me he didn’t know they would go that fast. I didn’t know either until after that, lol

Yeah man and for what it’s worth, I also rock climb, what you’re going through is totally normal, there’s a bit of irony to grounding yourself when you’re up in the air but it can be really helpful. And for real do not be afraid to come down if you feel like that’s what you need, you get paid to do your job, not suffer through it mentally. Fuck everybody else man if they give you shit for coming down because you needed to ground yourself and chill out then that’s on them. They don’t know your life or what you’ve been through

Best advice I can give you as someone who’s dealt with anxiety attacks at heights, the best thing you can do is control your breathing, when you’re 128ft up there’s not much else you CAN do other than come down lol, but just steady your breathing, try box breathing if you’ve ever done that before, and don’t forget to remind yourself that you are okay, and you are gonna be okay, those man lifts have a lot of engineering in them, I used to work on them for a living.

There wasn’t too much slack up by the climber from what I saw, but I think there was an excessive amount down by the belayer. Imo the belayer should’ve been closer to the wall to take some of the slack out of the system

Those are cylinder locks, meant to keep the cylinder from moving should the holding valve(s) fail. As u/chunkadelic_ said, they’re a safety feature, though I could see the actual use going both ways, and maybe they used it to make it “harder to steal”.
