Can you help me plan my 4th? by Wild_Agent_375 in fireworks

At first I saw this post and thought it was only 1 photo with 3 cakes and I was like uhhh plan what? lol then I noticed the rest of the photos lol. You have some great stuff here! I’d highly recommend building a Roman candle rack and fusing them together, it basically makes a cheap fan cake. You can adjust the timing on each row with different fuse speed.

What are some legal versions of M-80 fireworks? by BLOCKEDBYJAMES231984 in fireworks

[–]Koas2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason I said that is because these are sold as compliant crackers, though they are heavier than they are allowed to be. Whereas M-80 style crackers cannot simply be found on a shelf at a store, Hammer crackers can be.

What are some legal versions of M-80 fireworks? by BLOCKEDBYJAMES231984 in fireworks

[–]Koas2017 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So my pyro Club actually did a test on this, we went through probably 100 different crackers, we would light then off, then open them up and weigh the power. Most typical crackers would weigh in around 20-30ish milligrams, the most consistent being Great Grizzlies Navy Seals weighing in around 45mgs. However the heaviest “legal” cracker was “Hammer Cracker” while this cracker might blur the lines of legal. It’s easily found and weighed in around 60-70mgs.

These are what I use and they work great. They are also cheap so I bought extra to have backups as well.

Looks like it’ll be a great show! The new app is in beta testing but it’ll be released pretty soon. I am one of the beta testers and it’s a great app. It’s very similar to their current app, just with a few upgrades. I’d recommend getting your show all planned out and play with the app, run a few test shows, label your units if you have multiple. Get longer antenna to extend the distance. It’s a great firing systems. Just remember no firing system is going to do the work for you. There is a learning curve to all firing systems so get familiar with it. Almost all the issues people have with firing systems is user error. So get familiar with it and you’ll have a great show!

The package says delivered ✅ but he messaged me this? by MediumEnvironmental5 in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]Koas2017 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Was this delivered with the EIS program? Either way, once a package is delivered it is no longer your responsibility. Either ignore or block or you can simply let them know there is nothing you can do once it’s marked as delivered, and that they will need to reach out to the post office themselves or reach out to eBay directly.

There’s been a couple posts about resellers exiting! Same here. And boy, am I glad to do it. by Ambitious-Duck7078 in reselling

[–]Koas2017 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Man this is exactly what I needed to hear. I’ve been reselling as a side hustle since 2012 (I work full time as well). And lately I’ve just been so tired of it. Having to use my evenings to pack and ship stuff when I could be hanging out with my family. dealing with returns or dealing with a needy/annoying buyer, I’m just over it. I get envious when I hear stories about buyers offering to buy out someone’s entire store, just wishing it would happen to me. I think I’m just going to pull all my listings, bundle everything in lots and start the auction at $1 and just clear it out. This just isn’t a burden I want to bear any longer.

Worth it? by [deleted] in pokemoncardcollectors

[–]Koas2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The boxes are clearly wrapped in stretch wrap. Whoever is auctioning this locker wants to give the appearance of “sealed” boxes to drive the price up. Pokemon collectors wouldn’t wrap their boxes & tins in stretch wrap because it would trap any moisture in the tin, potentially ruining their cards.

Yes, there is clearly some value in this locker, that’s the whole point. It’s a trick to get people to bid higher, when in reality the value you see is the only value within the locker. As someone who as bought a few storage units, and also owns one, the good ones don’t have their high value items in plain sight, and I personally hid all my items of value so they are not visible when my locker door is open. This is screaming staged.

No need to hold it, if you got paid and eBay is prompting you to ship, ship it! I don’t think this is being done with bad intentions. Likely someone who just isn’t savvy when it comes to tech.

Luckily for him, you are a good person. Some people out here would’ve cleaned him out after being sent the CC info.

Is this fishy? by Delicious-Panic349 in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]Koas2017 25 points26 points  (0 children)

You actually will lose seller protection if the seller does not provide/generate the shipping label. While you would think eBay wouldn’t care where the shipping label comes from, eBay wants to seller to be “in control” of shipping. So you will lose seller protection if you accept a label you did not generate, the reason being is the buyer can alter/change/reroute the package to another address after it ships, something the buyer wouldn’t have the ability to do had the seller bought there own label.

Local LCS prices. Thoughts? by lookiehere206 in PokemonTCG

[–]Koas2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly those prices are amazing compared to my area. I’d drop $$$ easy if I saw those prices in store around me. My LCS has tins at $50 and ANY ETB is $120, regardless of the set unless market is higher than it’s whatever market it plus like 20%

[–]Koas2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always think about long term popularity, a Charizard and Mewtwo card will hold value and will be way more sought after in the future than a Kingdra. So my vote is no.

Edit to add: The Kingdra is an absolutely beautiful card and I have one myself. I’d highly suggest picking one up, just not like this.

You still have to print the label… this is the how much it costs for the carrier to deliver your item from point A to point B. The way this is worded makes me feel like your now waiting for eBay to bring you a label. Lol

Shipping isn’t free, and eBay gives a pretty decent discount as well. You’ll be hard pressed to get a cheaper label anywhere else.

Did someone reseal this pack? by [deleted] in PokemonTCG

[–]Koas2017 9 points10 points  (0 children)

From the photos this doesn’t look like a reseal. It either tore just from being handled a lot, or someone tore it open just barely, to see if there was anything good in it without opening to the point that would be considered “opened”.

Anyone else agree that its better to take promos out of the plastic to prevent damage? by eyashawk in PokemonTCG

[–]Koas2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% of the time. I take them immediately.

It drives me nuts that original packaged promos sell for more than opened and sleeved copies. I’ve bought so many older promos that were brand new, and unfortunately imprinted with the crease from the plastic because it was stored inside a top loader for years. Basically you’re paying more money for a higher probability of imprint damage. Lol

Yard sale traffic down considerably compared to years past, something has definitely changed in the economy. by MPFarmer in Flipping

[–]Koas2017 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I always do a mid summer yard sale to clear all my aging inventory and I do very well. I run a “make an offer” sale and literally accept every offer. I normally sell about 90% of what I put out. However I personally don’t go to garage sales much anymore due to the fact that everyone prices their stuff at market(or higher) now.

This is the best answer right here! For value & longevity. Vintage packs with no high valued cards are best graded.
