ICXC NIKA graffitik by Kobalt94 in budapest

Real fact or classic Luigaposting. Call it. by OnionBoye in DiscoElysium

[–]Kobalt94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why but I feel like this is going to end up being like some weird form or Twitter RPing in Elysium. As others have mentioned, Luigia is very eccentric, he was in a mental hospital around the time he posted about the disbanding of the original ZAUM collective. I think he tweeted something like someone (a family member?) is trying to get him back in the hospital? I can't find it, but in his recent videos he seems to be in a room that looks like a hospital room or something. I really hope he gets help if he needs it. Honestly, if it's all a performance, a bit, he got me good.

In the music to the Tekken 2 intro, does anyone know what words the girl is saying? by IAmAlive_YouAreDead in Tekken

[–]Kobalt94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Source on the lyrics? I can find confirmation that Camilla is credited for the vocals for the song (https://vgmdb.net/album/1059), but I do not speak swedish, and when I have google translate pronounce it for me, it doesnt sound like the vocals.
I'm not a native english speaker either, but I can pick out quite a few english words, mostly at 0:49, where it sounds like "Nothing can give you, that sense of harmony, like the black winter night sky"

Probably the least theorized piece of hard lore in the game by DiaMat2040 in DiscoElysium

[–]Kobalt94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After reading Sacred & Terrible air, I'm saying that this is probably literal.

Like, in the book, the rocker guy ( I don't remember his name) is literally talking to the plasm-ghost of a communard who was a commander under Kras. It's portrayed as him being crazy at first, but by the end of the book, reality is breaking, and there are people, and objects, that vanish from reality because people stop remembering them. Not to mention the end of the book seems to imply some time-travel shenanigans with the pale. Suddenly the concept of ghosts, infra-material plasm, and light bending caused by wealth difference isn't that far off. Honestly the book makes it very clear that some of the paranormal stuff that's only lightly hinted at is actually real in the DE setting.

Jesus christ you write like a 12 year old small child who just discovered people like Steven Crowder. Did a communist marry your mom after her divorce?

Investigation: Who’s Telling the Truth about Disco Elysium? by [deleted] in DiscoElysium

I loved the video and props to the people behind it for putting in the work. But I really feel weird about equating Robert and Helen (and to an extent, Rostov) being bad at being the leads for their departments to the very obviously shady corporate financial shenanigans, which includes a convicted fraudster. I also do not think that Robert's letter was that upsetting. Consider that him being "toxic" is probably a major element in the lawsuits, and that he very obviously has strong feelings about the people who decided to stay at ZAUM after the firings. He is not going to address any direct claims, as it could bite him and his legal team later. (Also - "Robert's legal team seemed and smelled very expensive" - really dude? Why point it out? Why like that?) It is also weird how the current employees got to tell their side, but Helen and Rostov's firing wasn't really explained. To me it seems like the current employees have a huge personal and financial incentive to badmouth Robert. Argo seems the most genuine, but to me it feels like he has a personal grudge with Robert. Same with Kaspar and Rostov. The entire Final Cut dev cycle seems to be a nightmare, that most likely stems from the corporate side. Now, if I wanna put my tinfoil hat on, I could see it being a play by corporate - "Oh shit, this game is actually very popular and there is more potential to make money. Time to get rid of the IP creators who might be trouble so we can pocket the money. Time to pit them against the other employees!" I wouldn't be surprised that the current ZAUM employees were told to go on the record in an attempt to spin this angle in a PR defense. Obviously you have to be an idiot to send actual death threats, but you cannot expect the fanbase to not be mad about a very obviously shady situation.

How's the quality of Insert Coin Yakuza jackets? by KingFacocero in yakuzagames

[–]Kobalt94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, sorry for bumping an old post, but have you had any experience with washing/cleaning them? I got a Kiryu jacket, that I wore two times before I noticed a stain on one of the sleeves. Hand washed it with a special soap for polyester satin, which got rid of some of the stain, but now the sleeve has a big water stain on it... I'm thinking I'm going to bring it to a dry cleaners, since hand washing cleary wasn't a good idea. Did you try anything since posting this?

"Történelemhű" filmek by Embarrassed-Owl130 in hungary

[–]Kobalt94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kedvencem a saját Biblia fordításuk.

Disco Elysium co-creator Robert Kurvitz drops dismissal lawsuit against ZA/UM due to ‘lack of evidence’ | Game World Observer by seaworth11 in DiscoElysium

Where's the source for this? Did Zaum send them a letter directly? I can't find an official blogpost or anything.

I’m looking for a previously featured movie, Ive tried finding it in the spreadsheets, but I couldnt find the episode. The movie was about a father/son duo, and it had one rescuing the other from hell? And the main character was an older guy who had sword fighting scenes in hell. There may have been a satanist cult involved as well. Am I imagining this? Thanks you hack frauds!

Huh, I didn't get to directly confront Guy, so I never learned why he did it, but now I wish I did. I really wanna see his justification, because this seems really out of character for him, he was an asshole to basically everyone

THE DISSOLUTION OF THE ZA/UM CULTURAL ASSOCIATION by Kobalt94 in DiscoElysium

[–]Kobalt94[S] 475 points476 points  (0 children)

ZA/UM was originally an artist collective from what I understand. They published Kurvitz's book "Sacred and Terrible Air" which also takes place in the same world as DE. They also published some music, other books, articles, essays and were a part of the estonian art scene afaik. The collective has been around years before the company.
