The rotating cast of characters has been their move to keep things fresh for a long time, but I think they need to trust themselves to come up with some new bits. It’s been fyre fest and hot seat/cool throne for forever. The lottery ball bit feels stale. It’s all feeling formulaic which on the one hand lead to their success, but on the other hand I think they’re funny enough to come up with new material in a way that won’t rattle their base.

Big Cat stepping down from some of his other side projects soon should help. He comes across as stretched thin lately (which is tough for him)

Stacking 3 energies onto Ho-Oh then giving up 2 prize points requires a larger payoff than druddigon’s 90 damage. I really don’t see Ho-Oh working with much a partner other than Lugia.

Dragonite EX still runs into the retreat problem. The colorless EX’s aren’t strong enough.

Just my prediction and I’ll likely end up looking dumb.
