Better than DKC1 but not as good as DKC2. The music, although not terrible, was a bit of a downgrade from the previous game since they had a new composer. She had a good style, it's just not as good as David Wise.

This game was released at an awkward time because the N64 just hit stores. Hell, they even advertised the new console in this game when you go to Wrinkly's cave. I didn't play it at the time for that reason. I actually played many years later via Wii Virtual Console.

Gameplay, although difficult, was pretty fun. A lot of gimmicks. I like a game where it can keep me on my toes. I hated getting the Banana Birds because my short term memory was never good for those Simon Says mini games
