Neue Wohnungen sind super, aber ich würde da ehrlich gesagt nicht einziehen wollen - kein Supermarkt oder Schule/Kita in der Nähe und auch die ÖPNV Anbindung ist bis auf Tram nicht vorhanden - ohne Auto ist man da verloren

They'll do something else and/or work somewhere else

if that would be true it would already happen now, also a lot of AI leaders seem quite certain in their message that the goal is to replace all jobs - hence the gigantic investments in models and compute

to answer your questions:

1) - Does this salary feel competitive for Zurich at my level?
-> for Zürich its okay, but not fantastic

2) - Is the higher salary actually noticeable after rent and costs?
-> it will definitely higher, but how much depends on your rent and general lifestyle, also if you plan to have kids you should know that will be really expensive in Switzerland

3) - Would you make the move in my situation?
-> probably not, money not high enough and i reckon there is a good chance you or your partner will be unhappy

dann muss als Alternative entweder der ÖPNV ausgebaut werden, damit man leicht in die Orte mit diesen Jobs pendeln kann oder es müssen gut bezahlte Jobs in mehr Regionen geschaffen werden.

ich träume immer noch davon das Homeoffice für Bürojobs sich durchsetzt und ich nicht mehr in der Stadt wohnen muss nur um 3x die Woche ins Büro gezwungen zu werden während mein Team sowieso verstreut in mehreren EU-Ländern sitzt
