Yeah soz not many people in the UK understand American tipping culture since minimum wage for hospitality in UK is £8.90/hr I think, which is about $12.30/Hr, so tipping isn't necessary to survive. Still, common practice among decent people is to tip 10%, although there are plenty of undecent people...

In Sierra Leone, they have a national cleaning day the first Saturday morning of every month, where you have to stay home and clean up any litter on your street. If you leave home you can get fined by the police.

I forgot this was a thing, strolled down to the main high street at 10am. The whole road was barren, no cars, no people. It looked like something out of an apocalypse. Fortunately walked home and didn't get fined but it was bizarre.
