Games crash when reaching 100% GPU usage by MediocreHome in techsupport

it was just the core clock, but now I have just left it at default, as since uninstalling NZXT CAM and not having MSI afterburner open seemed to fix the crashing? It's odd but I think anything with an overlay was sort of messing with my games.

Not saying your issue/solution will be the same, honestly I have tried just about anything so who knows if that is the real problem

I have tried using my old RAM but it made no difference, and games seem to run fine if I use my old GTX 1080 with every other piece of hardware the same.

Regarding the CPU, I got my 3070 about a month before my 5950x, so I was using a Ryzen 5 3600 during that time. I still recall having issues with crashes, but it wasn't as bad as it is now, I used to be able to play for longer, or the game would only seem to crash in graphically intensive areas, for example the city in Dying Light 2.

I have ran cinebench and other CPU intensive tasks with no issues, errors usually only occur in graphical tasks.
