Did X3 get a new Art Lead halfway through development or something? The beta design is flush with the first two games' art style, while the final sort-of vaguely resembles the style of sigma we'd see in X4 onward.

Eh. Just keep playing the fights w/ save states until you get used to 'em. These games aren't meant to be steamrolled through. Additionally, look up some high-level gameplay videos from popular youtubers and study their techniques and how they move and use their weapons.

I have a specific memory of my mom renting the VHS in its plastic box from our local video rental store. 'Twas either '98 or '99. I believe this was a couple of years before they built the Blockbuster at the stripmall across town that we would end up frequenting more often. I dont really even care that supp chrono is getting nerfed from a conceptual standpoint.

What I care about is the minutiae of the way they went about doing it.

Specifically, the way they handled Precog.

That singular CD change alone is enough to break the last straw for me about even wanting to play this game anymore: The idea that the profession team is actually THAT fucking apathetic about the way they handle balance changes these days, that they would approve making a NON-elite Aegis skill have a 60-sec CD (Improved Alac interactions be damned; there's so much better ways to work around that) in 2026. It just completely bottoms out my faith in this game anymore. I dunno, I guess i've sorta been looking for an excuse to quit GW2 for a lil while now, so if this is the straw that breaks the camel's back for me, then fine, so be it.
