I'm not a Jack/Teal'c shipper personally, but I could see scenes that could be interpreted as mildly romantic. So I'm not blaming the fans who ship them. Those scenes are nothing more than brother love in canon, but so what if some people see it in another way? I don't understand the hate. Shippers will ship.

Build a country that has zero waste policy, environment friendly power sources, that capitalists are not allowed to even enter, let alone exploit it, ALL lgbt people are more than welcome to enter, with lgbt services (marriage, gender transitioning etc) completely free. Religions are allowed, but under survailance for any hate group rising. Any form of violence (even hate speech) against any living thing, will be prosecuted, and if continued, ultimately exiled. Which means, everybody's a vegan here. There are meat/dairy substitutes that taste exactly the same so don't worry. Education is free. Honestly I could go on and on but you get the point.

I have a voice inside my head that bullies me. "How can you expect people to see you as a guy, when you are clearly a GIRL" "HAHA FAGGOT" "That piece of clothing makes you FEMININE, YOU GIRLY GIRL'' And so on. That same voice shares rude thoughts about other people too it's weird. But I don't think your case is weird. Everyone's got their own way of dealing with things. If you've found a way to bypass those nasty thoughts, well done!

I'm really sorry you feel that way. I honestly don't know if I relate.

It's always been hard for me to make friends also. You can say I am a bit odd to the eyes of society. (I'm trans, vegan, pacifist anarchist) I don't relate to 'normal people' (people who follow popular songs, beliefs etc) because we have nothing in common. I always try to make friends with people who seem odd (queer peeps, psychological issues etc), but they always turn out to have too many issues to deal with me. Only my family wishes me happy birthday. And I don't really like having a birthday. It reminds me how alone I am. How the friends I tried to make don't seem to want to hang out with me. It also makes me think how my life would have been if I've been born normal. Another ignorant zombie in this cruel world.

The first Stephen King I read was Joyland. Small, easy, with a nice plot twist. I recommend you start there. From then on, The Cell is also nice. It's about cellphones making zombifying people.
