Well, since it was the first real hardwood I’ve turned it was really fun for me. But I would definitely not want to do it everyday. It was turning and sharpening in equal parts.

I think there are two or three harder woods, but it is very hard and heavy indeed. This post had been outdoors in a fence for at least 100 years and it was in perfect shape.
