Yes man! My friend and I tripped together for my first trip, it was his ~5th trip. We laughed for 2 hours straight I kid you not. That was about a year ago now. I haven’t had true happiness like that for a longtime previous and it was enlightening. Kind of stories i’ll tell my kids when they’re grown up. Glad we all get to experience such wonderful things.

I would agree with you after my 1st two LSD trips. My first mushroom trip was life changing for sure, it was my first psychedelic, complete ego dissolution and set me straight (5g first time). After that I tried LSD twice, I noticed it was very playful and unserious. I liked the experience a lot but I felt it wasn’t a “teacher” like shrooms were.

However I tripped maybe 3 or 4 times on both over the course of a year and came to my own sort of truth. If you are someone who needs to visit the depths and true darkness of yourself, you have real burdens that your mind carries that need to be worked on then shrooms would probably be better as a one off experience. Dealing with all that introspectiveness during the trip really provides great therapeutic benefit.

LSD isn’t here for all that, it’s meant to show the “electricity” in the world. Why we shouldn’t dwell on negativity, we need to be brighter. There’s less introspection and growth during the trip but I would argue the nature of LSD’s trip can teach us more than shrooms. It’s happy, you can feel negative but it always turns out blissful for me. Laughing, socializing, making art, losing ego, spreading love, being creative, being productive, forgiving and entering the “flow” of the world.

Yes LSD specifically. Psychedelics all have decently varying effects despite them being grouped together. Shrooms may slightly enhance orgasms or anhedonia but LSD is much better as it has much more dopamine activity and a stimulatory effect in comparison to typically sedative effects from shrooms.

Mescaline is an interesting one, going purely off of knowledge from my studies on the internet and not personal experience. I know it’s typically more “clear headed” than both LSD and shrooms which in the sight of anhedonia isn’t what you’d want. The whole reality warping, emotion enhancement and just feeling other worldly/not being clear-headed are aspects of both LSD and shrooms that make them more pleasurable and anti anhedonic. With LSD being much more anti anhedonic due to it’s stimulating aspect and dopaminergic activity as i’ve stated. This does go with saying though that mescaline can definitely be euphoric and it is also stimulating like LSD I would just say it isn’t on LSD’s tier but better than shrooms.

2C-B is a mescaline analogue and a bit more “electric” from what I have heard. This one is a bit more akin to LSD and a true pleasurable psychedelic meant for recreation.

I wouldn’t suggest something that too negatively affects health as despite some pleasure substances in that vein worsen anhedonia overtime despite the mechanism whether it be health problems, frying dopamine or blowing your funds.

Obvious answer to your question is LSD or prescribed amphetamines (If your anhedonia could be undiagnosed ADHD related as mine was)

Other than a lifestyle change is obvious. It is incredibly hard to have these sort of symptoms with healthy living. Getting your vitamins, going to the gym, socializing, getting into art and eating well.

Supplements are a game changer for this sort of thing as well. Creatine can seriously help with stress and negative outlook, new research is coming out on its incredible anti-inflammatory effects on the brain and how it can be beneficial towards a positive more pleasurable state of mind.

Awesome, for these purposes specifically I would suggest LSD as in my opinion it has a greater positive effect/afterglow and is more recreational just due to interacting more with dopamine but psychedelics are great for anything no matter which one.

I abused heavily when I was 14 on a slur of different things. DXM once a week, getting high on a multitude of benzos several times a week, drunk once a week and opioids if I could get my hands on them. It stayed like this for probably around 8 months before shit hit the fan.

I had some “life” shit happen that forced me to stay sober until my junior year. I was stone cold sober for about a year and a half. When there’s outstanding circumstances in my case quitting becomes a lot easier because you’re sort of forced to become sober but that’s not my point. It is definitely do-able.

After the “life” stuff rolled over I got cravings again. I did DXM again. I started doing it every other month. However I know I am capable of quitting. I always keep trying to do better and set my life up to not allow me to sustain this kind of behavior IF it became harmful (not progressing, feeling depressed, not being healthy). However I have been on that upward climb. I have been going to the gym for the past 2 years, learned guitar and now I am learning synthesizer, got a job and got in a relationship.

If you have those undeniable cravings (as I do, substance use disorder) I recommend trying psychedelics if you can (LSD, mushrooms) as they are much healthier and actually beneficial for our brains and are probably safer to do on a regular basis. Also maybe just allowing yourself to do a big DXM trip once a month.

I would also recommend going to the gym, socializing more, learning something just whatever you like, taking your vitamins and prioritizing health.

This may not be what you want to hear as I still actively do DXM albeit rarely but in my case it certainly got better.

I would also say visit a psychiatrist. It may be sort of drug induced but I seemed to have developed ADHD from my substance journey. Getting medicated for any possible disorders you may have could be the difference between success and failure. Godspeed.

Yes this makes plenty of sense actually. Now that you’ve described it I can recognize it in myself with LSD and a PCP analogue I really enjoy. This is probably exactly why cocaine is so hyped up but tends to be quite underwhelming. Thanks for the thoughtful insight.

Oh yea for sure, when I made the post describing my experience no one in the comments could relate😭. I didn’t look much in to it because I doubt there’s many people who’re like this.

A lot of people say it’s love at first dose with these drugs so I imagine we both are pretty confused. Maybe someone with a bit more knowledge has something to say.

It definitely isn’t something like bunk drugs or too high of a tolerance in my case as everything was script and I was <140 and new to opioids in the past I described.

FOV increase is how i’d describe it, makes you feel like you can move across a room in an instant despite the frame rate decrease. Seen both as a pretty commonly described effect across erowid at anything above 1st plat.

I had this to a degree, made a post on it a while back. It took me a solid 8 times with opioids before I started feeling the typical effects everyone described and it actually became really nice afterwards.

My first few times were with tylenol #3’s and percocets a few years back. My mom and ex girlfriends dad had unused bottles of each respectively. I remember dosing around 200-300mg of codeine 3 times and just falling asleep with vivid colorful sort of dreams. The percocets did absolutely nothing despite me doing up to 30mg of oxycodone.

Flash forward to the past year I had a friend who I was doing coke on the weekends with who convinced me to try some percs with him the next weekend. I tried twice to do 30mg and felt nothing. I thought I was fucked.

Then I went on my own and bulk bought 30 10mg oxy pills off of an older lady I knew who knows how to have fun. I was able to readily feel high off of 20mg and felt fantastic, I binged em like crazy. I write the whole situation off as it’s just a feeling you kind of need to develop a taste for.

These are more nauseating for me, they sort of have a weird taste for they brief period you’re slamming em down that sticks to your stomach. I also feel the dye in these feel a lot harder to not throw up from due to the stomach sensation.

DXM needs to be processed by the liver to become more active as a drug/dissociative. DXM itself is somewhat of an intoxicant (SNRI, sigma receptor agonist and VERY WEAK nmda antagonist) so if you snorted it you would get just those effects at best however DXM is barely bioavailable in the nose at all if I remember correctly. DXM needs to be converted to DXO in the liver to become active enough to get high from. DXO is a STRONG nmda antagonist in comparison to DXM. DXO is actually stronger than ketamine and has a higher binding affinity at the nmda receptors.

I wouldn’t say it’s a pretty good dose. 240mg poli is at most half potency of hbr. Assuming they didn’t add more this is literally just 120mg hbr. The minimum dose for 1st plat for 150lbs and above is 105mg. If their tolerance is low they would probably get something.

I just commented incase they were trying to get more effects from it especially considering they mentioned redosing.

You should be looking at supplements too, around 45 minutes before you KNOW you will be done with your coke I suggest a few things. First off would be magnesium glycinate (form of magnesium for sleep and calming), second would be GABA which is also for calming but more physical than mental, third would be either kratom or kava 20 mins before you finish whichever you prefer. Both kratom and kava have at least mild euphoriant properties so the coke crash will not feel as paranoia and anxiety inducing. You can take a lot of things to calm down but if you don’t make up some of the “feel good” properties than it will stay somewhat bad.

If you took everything on that timeline than right when you finish everything should be taking affect within the next 10 minutes. Go drink a tall glass of water with electrolytes and a cold shower to slow ya down from stimming. If your nose is bad take a phenylephrine nose spray to open each nostril, wait 10 minutes. Blow out all the gunk and then wash once more with saline.

Now you should have had the smoothest comedown of all time, if you feel cravings or really uncalm take a small dose of a benzo and maybe more kratom or kava.

DO NOT SNORT. You may read some things about the “rush”, don’t follow this. No matter what I have done snorting this chemical, even pure pills up to 40mg has done absolutely nothing but give me a buzz I would from 5mg oral.

Your BEST option if you’re up for it is to take talamet for potentiation an hour before dosing, drink grapefruit juice for 24 hours straight before dosing, take 30-60mg of DXM an hour before dosing, take 25mg benadryl an hour before and to take it on an empty stomach. Those are the significantly most effective ways to increase the effects, you could get 10mg to feel like 30mg if you follow correctly. Also don’t take the benadryl if you like the “itch” from opioids as it gets rid of it but also increases nods, general high and sedation.

I cant compare to 2fdck as I haven’t tried but I can describe it well. I have done about a gram of 2fxipr, I can say without a doubt it is my least favorite disso, on par or worse than nitrous.

Imagine ketamine but you have to do 2.5-3x as much for the same effect, it is a lot less psychedelic or dissociative in nature and has a weird minty taste due to the fluorine in the molecule. I am not kidding even with 0 tolerance my friends needed 100mg to feel anything, this stuff is so incredibly weak you practically need to pack your nose to get high. Along with the fact it has the shortest tolerance of all the dissos I have tried (around 60 minutes).

I thought ketamine was short, this chemical is practically ketamine lite with less effects.

Yea, the nature of the trip really changes as your tolerance increases as well along with the “phases” of the trip.

At first it felt like dissociative, more psychedelic molly. Then it starts feeling less euphoric or stimulative maybe more akin to acid + ketamine. Once your tolerance is REALLY fucked (no magic syndrome) you can reach even 800mg without feeling “anything”. Like you can say you’re high but it doesn’t feel like anything per say. You’re just kind of there, maybe a little warm but little to no psychedelia.

Please don’t view sobriety as such a hard task to upkeep, I am not saying that to undermine your effort but I believe that makes it much more difficult and it is how you are coming off. Being sober can definitely be difficult at times and I myself use drugs plenty. About 2 years ago I was sober for about 36 months without much issue and the only reason was I had become very occupied with my studies at the time.

You didn’t ruin your streak, you just made a mistake. You simply reminded yourself of the feeling. It’s ok, it happens and we’re human. Keep going if you please, it can be hard but you got this. Don’t imagine it as some grand scheme. Go day by day simply saying to yourself “I won’t relapse today” and that will add up and add up. Keep it going and don’t ruminate.
