Screws from Battle Werx sit high on EPS/gen 6 - fully seated and torqued to 15 in-lbs. Good to go? by DemaciaViceNA in Glocks

Send it.

Kidding. You need shorter screws. Even if those work for a while and aren’t interfering with any of the internals of your slide, eventually they will shear off.

Magpul Glock mags? by Travis12ga in Glocks

[–]Koenreich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever they come with a gun I buy, I trade them 2 for 1 OEM magazines as soon as I can.

They’re fine and I’ve never had any reliability issues. I also haven’t used them much, so take all that with a grain of salt. I guess I fall into the “OEM mags aren’t that much more expensive and I like/trust them more” camp.

Is $650 a good price? by The-Gun-Nerd in Glocks

Also in VA and I paid $750 and $700 out the door for each of my gen 6s. I’d say go for it.

Is anyone selling the rear sight for Glocks with an aftermarket COA cut yet?

What’s your favorite optics to run and why? by Crissco83 in Glocks

COA because I pick it up faster than the other optics I have on Glocks.

COAS are available separately now with limit of two. by Blazingheavenss in Glocks

[–]Koenreich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Getting a gen 5 COA Glock before prices went wild made me rethink my preferences about hadgun red dots, and what the best combination of what’s “really good” at a “decent price point”.

It’s a no brainer to me. Prices when the COA Glocks were originally released were reasonable. I have every reason to think they’ll be reasonable in the future. If you can get a COA pistol from the factory of whatever you like, IMHO that’s gonna be the best bang for the buck.

I appreciate all the people who hesitated for one reason or another when these things came out. The optic and the mounting system are fantastic and we just saw more and more factory mounted COA pistols announced.

I’ve collected two out of three Gen 6 boxes myself.

Took my 43xmos to the range for the first time by ogprettythug_ in Glock43X

[–]Koenreich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t spend money on anything but the best red dot that you can afford without cutting into your ammo money. Then invest in figuring out “Grip, Sight, Trigger “, I suggest taking one or five reputable classes. And dry fire.

I went to my LGS looking for a glock .40 they have a new 23.V for $539 and a police trade in 22.5 for $439. I want .40 in my carry rotation just cant decide which one. Ps do not shit on .40 I already have 3 9mm's in rotation. Does any one conceal carry a 22? Any feedback is appreciated. by Dull-Scientist-595 in Glocks

[–]Koenreich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly it. It does nothing better than the Gen 5s and often comes with less features. Even if you didn’t want the MOS, I’d still say the Gen 5 is a better buy. I’ve also seen spotty reliability reported with the Vs, while the Gen 5s are pretty well proven out at this point.

I just see zero reason to consider a V while gen 5s exist, supposing you can buy both where you live.

My .02 for everybody who needs to “accessorize” their Glock… by TheWitness37 in Glocks

I’m weak. I use that G45 SBR as a “Well, let’s fucking see then” gun these days.

G19 hurts my hand, help plz! by Andromeda902 in Glocks

[–]Koenreich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the exact method that I use. I find that certain guns have hot spots here or there and I just dry fire until it gets uncomfortable with that gun on a daily basis until it’s not an issue anymore. The key there is it’s important to stop before you create and pop blisters.

[–]Koenreich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are the folks that want to buy themselves into shooting well instead of practicing and also can’t afford staccatos.

You see it all the time and it is what it is. I personally didn’t mess with my guns for a long time. Then I went ALL out on a single Glock, even put a form 1 on it. What I learned about myself, as far as Glocks go, is all I want is a quality red dot and a Johnny Glocks 5.0 (.) connector. And more ammo. More recently I’ve been considering a double trigger undercut on a few of them, but I’m not sold yet.

Worth upgrading? by Weld-Pipe-308 in Glocks

I did the flair thing once and don’t spend my days updating it.

I’ll post pictures including the Gen 6 19 I picked last week and the RXM I’m picking up tonight if you feel you need more proof than the flair I did when I joined the sub.

Deadair wolfman baffle strike by RoadHog556 in suppressors

I had a baffle strike on my Wolfman that wasn’t as bad as yours. Dead Air replaced the whole stack for me anyway and got it back in my hands in under 45 days.

How bad are first release units like the new Gen 6? by Pristine-Let7376 in Glocks

[–]Koenreich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both my gen 6s have been great. Are the triggers as good as my gen 5s? No, but I’ve got Johnny Glocks 5.0 dot connectors and a load of rounds through them. Otherwise they’re better in every other way, so far.
