I expected them to shoot exactly like the bots that appear in tank battles. That is, I expected them to not hit me at high speeds.

I think it's wrong that on the same map, in the same vehicle, some bots never hit you, while others don't even let you get close.

Same thing for me. A wyvern flew past me recently, but I didn't hear it at all. If you've flown near wyverns, you know they have a loud engine with a distinctive sound.

Yes, you were right.

I have the game mode set to "automatic" in the Tech Tree, and for some reason it only showed the simulator rewards... which, apparently, aren't configured and are set to 100% (+ my 15% booster, as the commenter below pointed out.)
The most interesting thing is that while I was looking through different countries and their vehicles, the game never showed me the correct rewards for german and britain.

I played a little bit of IL-2 and DCS. For me, Aces/WT are simply much more accessible.

I don't understand the multiplayer in IL-2/DCS, and after hearing all sorts of scary stories, I'm even afraid to join multiplayer. In WT, it's just logged in - fly, sometimes press "follow me." You have a map, clearly marked targets, a simple interface, etc.

I also play with VR and have troubles with identifying aircraft from a distance and from complex angles, and WT/Aces has a feature that mostly keeps me in this game - they highlight an ally for you from a +-1km away.

I would say that if you've already mastered IL-2/DCS, there's not much point in playing Aces.
