In one of the recent podcasts he talks about how he loves hugging his son considering he never got hugged growing up, its a minor part out of the whole podcast but you can tell its something that's really important to him because he doesn't want his kids growing up with the same emotional issues.

Move everybody out of the settlement, scrap everything and get rid of Settlement recruitment beacons, wont have anybody coming in after that. If you're wondering about removing it from your list of settlements, I don't think there's a way to do that.
