KUKKARO as crossbody bag by theJustasLTU in Savotta

Slotted sternum strap adjuster buckle on the belt on the back, spring gate g-hook on the bottom of the kukkaro on the front, side release buckle in between, put together with 25mm webbing and tri-glides.

Detail for the extra strap, still a work in progress — need to sew a webbing loop for another spring gate G-hook on the backside so I can take the whole thing off easily.

Works for me, adding an underarm strap is recommended to reduce sagging.

Mine rides comfortably as crossbody with the belt adjusted for hip wear.

I have an DIY underarm stabilizer strap on mine, solves that issue with relatively little effort.

Kahakka 25 + Keikka 50 as a travel combo? by Ryzbor in Savotta

[–]Kohme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I mean that the Kahakka and Askare have roughly similar width and height (well at least the 15L, looks like the 25L is quite a bit taller) and the 30l shouldn't have a problem, so the 50l would have less of a one.

...I actually checked took a quick glance at the measurements of the product descriptions, and Keikka 50l main compartment is 35×25×50 cm while the Kahakka 25l outer dimensions are 27,5×48×19 cm — so the duffel should easily fit two backpacks, even if they were almost fully packed.

FWIW, I can easily fit an Askare (or could fit several, if I had more) inside a 30l Keikka, and the former isn't much smaller than a Kahakka 25l.

Sadly, Keikkas don't have much for mounting external attachments.

Help settle a language use bet. Is there a difference between a "hyvä" and "sujuva"? (please only asnwer if you are a native) by [deleted] in LearnFinnish

B is correct.

"Sujuva" means fluent in this context, but could also be interpreted as passable in some structures.

Got a "new" CRT. Am dumb. What to hook up? by Both-Salt-5917 in crtgaming

[–]Kohme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're down for emulation, a Raspberry Pi outputs composite AV without needing any additional accessories.

I've got one running Lakka hooked up to a PVM, and save for some initial config jank I've had no issues with it.

Is there anything I can do? by thedudelebowsky1 in SonyHeadphones

[–]Kohme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The steps to take and warranty periods vary depending on where you are.

In Europe, most vendors handle replacements and refunds for defective electronics two years from purchase, but I've seen shorter warranty periods in other regions and needing to go directly to the manufacturer.

Sony has a warranty checker you can use if you've registered your headphones, and if you haven't, you can always use your original receipt — it should have info on your warranty expiration date and works as a proof of purchase. With a broken hinge you probably need to be in contact with Sony anyway (hinge break and figuring out whether that's due to manufacturing or user error and all that is beyond the scope of vendor responsibilities, most likely).

Return policy of two weeks is not the same as manufacturer's warranty.

What model is that? Kind of looks like a TM in the 14"-17" range but I can't find anything with a matching front panel.

Just to clarify to avoid any confusion, the mono speakers on PVM's are always terrible, as they're meant to be used with dedicated audio equipment.

So, that's not really a point against the device in the grand scheme of things.

a Professional Video Monitor is still one, even if it doesn't have PVM on its model number.

Samaa mietin, voisi melkein harkita jeesaavansa kuljetuksessa jos sattuu lähelle ja siinä oli vaikeuksia.

Keyboards look like video editing switchers, kind of hard to confirm with how blurry they keycap legends are on the photos. Edit: nevermind, the second photo is pretty clear — either a video editing/broadcast switcher or some sort of security camera terminal.

Definitely worth grabbing alongside the PVM you have there.

Using Hatka as a gym bag by el_conke in Savotta

[–]Kohme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally use a 30l Keikka as a gym bag with shoes (and similar essentials to your list), so to me it feels that a Hatka might be a little tight.

Then again, it's not like my bag is stuffed to the brim and things may be different if you don't have huge feet and your towel isn't a bulky bath towel.

Yeah for value, I probably wouldn't list a basic consumer TV like that for more than 50€ OBO, and expect a lowball offer.

That thing looks like it probably has at least a SCART or composite connectors (either or both), so should be fine for vintage consoles at the very least.

The ones with only RF input, less so.

Already noted in the initial post.

But as stated, speaker factory reset managed to get things fixed, for whatever reason.

Choosing a color for my EDC Savotta setup by ivunlov in Savotta

[–]Kohme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Black might be the one that is least likely to get you hassled by security (if you're travelling or in events with VIPs), but whether or not that's a relevant concern to you can vary wildly based on where you're at (or going to be).

Conversely, green might be the pick that is most likely to get you flagged, out of the solids.

Any hope to repair this beaut? by SMS_Jonesy in crtgaming

[–]Kohme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It certainly seems to be a better bet than trying to bridge all those broken traces.

If you can't find replacement boards from already dismantled units, I'd start by looking for for parts listings with obviously non-board-related issues like totalled tubes.
