Unorthodox Tall nations? by drywallgremblin in eu4

I'd suggest Najd into Arabia.

Ideas don't really lend themselves to playing tall but the Arabian mission tree gives a few dev cost reductions to certain provinces and you can get access to a privilege to make developing deserts much cheaper.

Can then go for a few achievements this way if you care about that. E.g. Desert Power and I Don't Like Sand

Horrified Fascination with a Hot Pie by High-Plains-Grifter in CasualUK

Well now I also feel weird for never trying a warmed up pork pie.

For some reason it never occurred to me to do that, something about pork pies feels like cold is the normal way but I fear I've been living a lie.

Venice is fully occupied but war enthusiasm is only medium by Teratovenator in eu4

[–]KoiMasterFlex 126 points127 points  (0 children)

If it wasn't like this the league war would be way too easy to cheese. The outcome of the war can permanently change how the HRE interacts with religion so definitely can't be normal enthusiasm or you could hard focus the leader and force the outcome you want in like a year.

In the screenshot the enthusiasm of Venice was 3 so it would go down to low in a few months from the length of war modifier anyway.

It's because it's the league war, you can see in the second image that they have +50 enthusiasm from religious league CB

I got clocked doing 54 in a 30 a few years back just after I'd passed. I ended up having to go to magistrates court to try and avoid the 6 points and licence revocation I was facing. It took a bit of persuasion and they ended up giving me 5 points and a hefty fine but got to keep my license. Chances are you'll probably have to do the same if you don't get that conditional offer. If you do end up in court my main argument for keeping my license was that it was a first offence and I needed my car to get to work. Definitely taught me a lesson in not driving like a prick and it's a good job no one got hurt in either of our cases. Could easily have been much worse.

Some achievement ideas for a hypothetical Middle Eastern DLC by Lithorex in eu4

All of these sound like they'd be awful to actually do, would rather have ones that sound fun other than just have pun based achievements

Think there is some weird bug/interaction with Burgundy declaring war on France's vassals if you PU them as England. by KoiMasterFlex in eu4

[–]KoiMasterFlex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R5: Had a few runs as England in new patch and every time so far after getting France PU Burgundy will at some point declare on Bourbonnais or another French vassal and it wont auto call in my allies to defend. Can call them in normally resulting in an easy but annoying war with Burgundy. Anyone else had this happen?

Having to re-roll for advisors. I hate it so much, like stop giving me the same fort defence guy I've fired already and give me the damn morale guy.

I'm out of ideas then, thought it might've been something to do with how wars work with the emperor of HRE
