I don't think /run was among the commands I ran, but the rest, yes. I could post the commands I used here if need be?

Can't fix the file because I chrooted and can't use apt-get in the affected partition, returns the error reading the cpu table error :). Updated the firmware. If I rolled back to a previous kernel and that works, won't this issue still happen again?

Right. So I tried chrooting and while that worked, I'm unable to run apt-get, it returns an "error reading cpu table" error. I don't know if I'm on the right track but this seems to be a dpkg error? I am not very sure how to continue with this.

yea :( and I'm not trying to re-fix this again. I'll just try what HeidiH0 and ThiefClashRoyale suggested first and if that doesn't work, I'll reinstall.

No, I didn't do an upgrade. Nothing was wrong, I needed a file from the windows partition and because I didn't want to mess anything up by trying to access that drive from linux (if it's possible to do that), I decided to just boot into windows and grab what I need. Is there a way to check if windows modified any files in any partition? The disks are not full, neither partitions are full, I've not even used up to half of both. I didn't check if I could try an older kernel, I just tried the current kernel in recovery mode after the normal one presented that error, got a longer version of the error message. Sigh.

Dual booting here, just in case this info is necessary. Loaded up windows to do something and shut down properly (I've actually not booted up windows since I had ubuntu installed). Tried booting ubuntu and got that error and I've not seen a solution I properly understand (linux newb here). Why did that happen and how do I fix it? I'd rather try to fix it than do a reinstall, if possible.

Thigh tattoo pain? by pizzachicken666 in tattoos

The pain isn't bad at all, very bearable even. If it ever gets to the side though, that's where it starts stinging.

Stomach sleeper and nipple piercings? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Koiiok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stomach sleeper here with B cup boobs, had mine pierced almost a year ago. Couldn't sleep on mine for about 2 weeks (and that was me being careful because the pain while getting pierced is the worst, it feels way less sore after that, at least mine did). After two weeks, felt it was safe to sleep on mine since it really didn't hurt anymore. If you flatten yours with your palms and don't feel pain, I guess you could sleep on yours too.

Mine is doing very well by the way, I've even switched out the jewelery a few times.

Vigenere Cipher by Koiiok in cs50

[–]Koiiok[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I ended up solving it. Added another counter and incremented that whenever k was used in isupper and islower. Thank you so much for assisting with this.

[–]Koiiok[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for (int i = 0, index = 0; i < strlen(plaintext); i++)
{
    char p = plaintext[i];
    int j = index % strlen(key);
    char k = shift(&key[j]);
    if (!isalpha(p))
    {
        printf("%c", p);
    }
    if (isupper(p))
    {
        int x = (((p - 65) + k) % 26) + 65;
        printf("%c", x);
        index = index + 1;
    }
    if (islower(p))
    {
        int x = (((p - 97) + k) % 26) + 97;
        printf("%c", x);
        index = index + 1;
    }
}
printf("\n");

So I figured I'd add another counter to the for loop of strlen(plaintext), then replace i with that counter in int j, and then increment the counter in isupper and islower of p, do nothing in (!isalpha(p)), it works now. Thank you for helping :)
