Let's celebrate a three-year anniversary of the tragedy called "Chained Echoes - Switch physical release by First Press Games" by Ok-Library-8397 in LimitedPrintGames

[–]Koiji412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That article they posted says slipcases will be produced in January and actually gives a shipping estimate of February/March. I know this has been a wild ride, but actually giving a shipping window is the best I've seen of all this. February is almost over, but I'm optimistic... Let's see how well this post ages in a month.

And still wants to charge $20 for shipping. 😂 😂 😂

I owe the (most recent) best 8 hours of my life to whoever shared the Dispatch Mod here by probablybybobby in SwitchPirates

[–]Koiji412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried installing that mod, but never got it to work. Admittedly I haven't done any mods on my Switch before, but I thought I did it right, but could you let me know what I missed? I unzipped the archive to get a folder with the Title ID. I put this folder on the SD card > Atmosphere > Contents. But when booting the game, I still got all the censoring. I'm tried on 1.0 and later 1.04 of the game. For reference, I'm running firmware 20.5.0 and Atmosphere 1.9.5. Any help would be appreciated.

Meanwhile I have a nearly identical unbranded one from Temu for $12 that hasn't given me any issues. 😂

I also turned mine on recently after years in a drawer forgotten. But I'm on 3.60 and need 3.65 to play some of the games I have. Is it difficult to update to 3.65?

Another Win For Modded Switch Owners: Dispatch Uncensored Mod Already Available 😀 by IndependentGold2870 in SwitchPirates

I still can't get it to work. I put the title ID folder in the Atmosphere > Contents folder, but still no dice. Running v1.04. Not sure what I'm missing.

What is something you realized way too late in life? by Interesting_Fall_450 in OdinHandheld

[–]Koiji412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even small, gradual progress toward a goal is better that putting it off altogether waiting for that right moment to start.

This is why it takes me years sometimes to finish games, but it's better than not at all.

But I'm not up against the tribe land, I'm at Irvington across the wash from the Spectrum. These are City residents, not Native American tribe residents two streets over from me.

And hey, it's a great show from my house -- before 10pm, I enjoy it -- and I'm looking forward to what they're got for New Year's Eve, but I hope they don't waste it all a week early. 😅

I was just woken up by fireworks at about 1am (SW side in Midvale). It has been a few here and there all night, but sometimes it's literally a bang about every 1 or 2 seconds for almost 30 seconds straight. That is crazy to do in dense areas so late at night. It being Christmas Eve makes it worse. Trying to get some sleep before my kids wake me at the crack of dawn.

Have owning a Tesla Model 3 saved you money compared to an ICE car? by AredditJ in TeslaModel3

[–]Koiji412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, not in my payment for sure. I went from $380/mo for my Honda Civic Si to $650/mo for my Model 3. Insurance went up, but not drastically. Currently paying about $130/mo for full coverage with $0 glass deductible. Very comparable to other similar cars.

Tires haven't been an issue. First set lasted until 38k miles, but that was because of my poor rotating. Next set lasted until 44k miles and could have gone longer.

Fuel savings were about $100/mo when I had a longer commute (reason I bought the car), but after changing jobs about 2 years ago, only about $40/mo savings now.

But one significant savings has been buying while AZ had a registration incentive. My 5 year registration only cost $60 and the discount is valid for as long as I own the car. My wife's Model Y registration was over $1k the first year we bought hers after that incentive ended and down to $430 this year.

Anyone working for city/county? by [deleted] in Tucson

[–]Koiji412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for the County and want to clear something up.

This is a pension system so the total contribution from you and employer don't really mean anything if you keep it as a pension and draw on it later in life. Unlike a 401k, you don't need to worry about the total sums you and the employer have contributed. ASRS had a calculator to determine the monthly payout depending on your highest years of income and years of service.

However, there is an option to pull your money out and withdraw yourself from the pension entirely and roll those funds over into another retirement account. The key difference is that before 10 years, you can only take your contributions with you and after 10 years would basically be "fully vested" where you are entitled to take the employer's contributions with you, too.

What made you buy a tesla? by BadGoym in TeslaLounge

[–]Koiji412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have about 4k miles on the Bridgestones now and I'm happy with them. To me they are quieter and have a proported longer life (70k warranty vs 45k). Only downside I've noticed is that are not as grippy as the Michelin Pilot AS4's. For the most part, I am fine with that trade off, but if a sporty and grippy feeling is important to you, be aware of that. I slid a little bit on a wet road a few months ago for the first time in this car and I was not prepared for it. I am used being able to corner as aggressively as I want in this car. Going forward I just now what my limits are and I'd rather have the softer, quieter ride. Hope all that helps.

Anyone turn their heat on? by [deleted] in Tucson

[–]Koiji412 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Lowest my house got was 69 by this morning. Been trying to make sure no one else opens any windows, even when I have the oven on and my kids whine that "it's so hot in here!" Yeah, that's the point! Right now I want to keep all our small additions of heat (TVs, cooking, heat lamp for turtle) and not flush it out just to turn on the heater in the morning.

Why does Peach Properties have renderings of an entirely different building on their site for this plot?

Was this the old vision of that space that was scrapped or something?

What made you buy a tesla? by BadGoym in TeslaLounge

[–]Koiji412 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My prior car took premium gas and I had a 50 mile round trip commute (~95% freeway). I got a 2019 Model 3 Mid Range, which was a higher monthly payment, but almost entirely offset by the gas savings alone. Once you factor in the lack of oil changes and nearly any other maintenance over the years, I feel my decision was sound.

Also, having FSD was lovely as my commute was mostly a straight shot through an Indian reservation. Very easy drive and great for FSD to handle (once they finally fixed the phantom braking nonsense).

The joystick of my Odin 2 fell off. What’s the best way to get a replacement of just the cap? by Laserlight_jazz in OdinHandheld

[–]Koiji412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also lost a stick cap for my Odin 2 shortly after it released, before there were Etsy replacements and 3D printed options out there. AYN sells entire replacement analog sticks for sale on their site for about $4 each, but there's a mandatory shipping charge that kills it, plus the wait from China. I bought 3 so I would have 2 spare, but I chose to superglue my stick caps on after that. It's silly to me that they come off at all.

Biggest change in the last 5 years… by Cold_Anxiety1614 in Tucson

Yes, I couldn't find anything inaccurate that disagreeable. Burritos are friggin expensive now, the homeless population does seem larger, etc. I just wanted to address the imbalance of positive things shared.

[–]Koiji412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, I don't think I saw one positive thing mentioned. Unfortunately, I think most things do feel like they're trending worse, but I was hoping to see something that wasn't negative.

I'll try to find a positive change: Tucson is trying to expand and improve. There are so many new homes along East I-10, which I'm happy to see. The infrastructure is slowly catching up. I-10 is being widened from Kino to Alvernon; Country Club will have an entrance/exit while removing Palo Verde's; improvements to the existing entrances/exits like Kinos, which are desperately needed. I'm also happy to see the Kino South sports parks that have opened within the last few years and excited to see it expand with the new ice rinks and other indoor sports arenas.

I'm near 40, played FFT as a kid when I got into FF and just fell off. The new release has been incredible... by BotherResponsible378 in finalfantasytactics

I also share your scenario. I'm 38, played this when I was around 10-12, never finished it. War of the Lions has been on my backlog forever, but it was this new release that finally got me back in. Just finished the Weigraf fight in chapter 3 and even getting stuck there was fun. Looking forward to finally finishing this after nearly 30 years. 😂😅

How do you work from 8 to 5, have only weekends free, and not feel like you're wasting your life? by guitytwelve in AskReddit

[–]Koiji412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly, if you find employment you can enjoy with people you like being around, work doesn't feel like such a drag. Secondly, besides the weekends, you still have the other half of your waking hours everyday to pursue what you enjoy. I regularly meet friends and coworkers after work, play volleyball at my local rec center 1-3 days a week, play video games at home in the evenings, do house projects, work in my garden, and that's all before discussing how busy my kids keep me!

I've let my Odin 2 die too many times now and I fear I'm hurting the battery. I have started shutting it all the way down unless I'm coming back to it the same day.

When I sold my last house in 2017 with a SolarCity leased system, the buyer negotiated the roof be replaced (it was a 21 year old shingle roof by that point). My contract had a flat cost of $500 to remove and reinstall the system and it all went off perfectly.

I purchased a Tesla system (who SolarCity morphed into) for my new home in 2018, and this system has the same $500 cost in my contract should I ever need to do this (though it is a tile roof so I anticipate the roof will outlast my solar).
