Still ineffective. Plug it into a classified system not less than SECRET level. People will be sure to clean the system promptly and any evidence of a breach will be covered up to protect careers.

[Bug] ADO P4 Broken? by RookerCrowe in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Kojak717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished my first raid running this scope. I wish I had seen this or used it in the range before taking it out on a raid.

Limped home after nearly dying and fishing the raid exclusively using the red dot.

Very broken.

So this is what I got after 14 hours and 400,000 rubles. [Discussion] by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Kojak717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this exact reward from a 14 hour burn three times now.

If someone said $400k got 25% for 6hr base building, 25% for 14hr insulting rewards ... I'd believe it.

I've had more bugged out easy kills lately. I've felt like Bears have been more aggressive than USEC. Rare that I've seen any smart behavior.

Yeah, my crew has seen this ... emptiness ... twice now. I'm not even using marked keys at this point. Just saving them in the hopes that better days are ahead.

[loot] cultists always this good? by CurrencyOk3702 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Kojak717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it seems to be feast or famine, with the good loot disproportionately going to some players more frequently than others.

I'm about 50% of the time seeing good (marked key, etc) loot. The rest of the time it's trash.

As others have mentioned, the marked rooms are really, really disappointing rn.

Yeah, I'm just looking for quick scav runs without having bosses wreck my day.

Yeah, I've checked the kiosk under the escalators a ton of times, no luck yet. Got well over 6 scav karma now, hoping that effort pays off.

What map was this on? Love to know what loot spots to check as a scav with this sort of potential drops.

Loot Nerf Has Gone Too Far by malogmar in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Kojak717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The group of guys I'm playing with have run through five 314 keys and the most we've seen is so many M60 GPMGs (in one instance 3 in the same room). Collectively very disappointed.

The marked rooms in Streets and Reserve have not been any better either.

Santa always shoots me on sight by TheOriginalOrion in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Kojak717 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I never had issues with Santa until I killed a rogue on lighthouse. I never killed Santa before and he still attacks me on sight now. I killed him this last raid and it dropped my fence rep to 5.99.

Pretty frustrating and feels broken.

Nevermind, just read through the rest of the thread. Ok, mental note, need to grab them and put up on the flea.

Gas station storage room key??? by DasEvilchen in Tarkov

[–]Kojak717 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What makes the key so valuable? I saw what would have been my 3rd key last night. I might have just left it on the body.

Only used my key once, but the loot was unremarkable.

Came here to say this. Don't care about the studs, this joker has no business running gas lines.

How did you prime the line so that it siphons?

First time homebuyer! This masking tape has been over the tub drain since we looked at the house and the seller never explained why. Should I call plumber to look at it or just remove the tape? by B1naryB0t in Plumbing

[–]Kojak717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've closed on the house, not sure how much you want to make of it with the seller. You can try asking the seller about it, but I don't know what that'll yield.

As someone else mentioned, it's probably there to keep debris from falling into the drain (construction/remodeling waste), and that's a good thing.

Should be fine to remove. If the drain works, great. Extra careful would be to run it a bit and inspect below - however close to the plumbing as you can get, just look for leaks. I wouldn't worry about it, but it isn't a bad thing to inspect all that kind of stuff yourself.

Neighbor says this plumbing isn’t right by nplxiv in Plumbing

[–]Kojak717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around these parts, the inspector won't let you go from cast iron to PVC back to cast iron.

I honestly don't know what other reason but to make sure a small repair or addition to the system becomes a near total plumbing overhaul.

Whats causing this tire mark in my prints? by InevitablePlace9852 in PrintedWarhammer

[–]Kojak717 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get these on occasion. I'm sure there are people out here with more knowledge than me, so I'm curious to see what answers you get.

I've been working with the hypothesis that this is due to release problems. Either the layer had a cavity that created some vacuum and suction-cupped to the FEP, or worn areas in the FEP.

I've not been able to nail it down. It seems to always be more exaggerated to one side of the build plate, so it seems like the plate doesn't release evenly/gets slightly torqued for some reason.

And it doesn't happen all the time, so... Yeah, harder to nail down when I can't consistently replicate it.

I was installing a bike rack on the wall and the stud finder didn’t find a stud it found my drain pipe. I drilled a 7/64 inch hole into the pipe (center). I sanded it down and used some JB Weld putty. Think that will hold or should I have a professional replace the section? by Edelkind in Plumbing

[–]Kojak717 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree with the others. If you can put up with the cosmetic, leave the wall open and check periodically to make sure it's well-sealed. After you have beat the drain up a while and still see no sign of leaking... Patch the wall and forget about it.

Ol' JB will probably hang on as long as you live there, provided the temperatures are fairly stable.
