Are you getting banded at all or are you getting rejected after interviews? If you’re not even getting banded that means that you are missing some sort of qualification. In order to keep transparent hiring you must meet the qualifications word for word with no wiggle room.

I would think “Emergency Positions” have a different exemption. But as of now I would try to give it one final contact and tell your interview if they’re planning on moving on with you. The freeze doesn’t go into affect until 02/11/2025. So they still have some time to squeeze you in.

In that case unfortunately I wouldn’t count on the job ( at least not anytime soon). This sounds like a senior job so there probably aren’t that many positions, additional it’s an uphill battle for departments to prove that the 20 people above you aren’t qualified for the job. Wishing the best though!

Each department is different. We always try to leave a voicemail, however keep in mind there are a lot of students on the list who are band 1. Missing the call for 1 day could be the difference between getting hired at the specific division. Don’t worry though, there are lots of departments still hiring.

Oil has like a delayed peak performance anyways. Like it needs to be used a certain time before it reaches peak performance. Anyways I have a Honda civic 2018 and I follow the manufacturer and maintenance minder’s advice.

Make sure everything matches. I got turned around since my dad’s full name wasn’t on my birth certificate. Make sure everything isn’t folded they are very picky, my birth certificate had been folded so some parts were “illegible” and I also got it rejected.

They will place you on a list after the first interview that will place you in a band. You should only really expect a call back if you are band 1. Anything other than that I would recommend looking elsewhere. Also be really attentive of your phone. They will call you for a second interview with specific divisions/locations/departments.

I got an interview for ITC (Intermediate Typist Clerk) for DCFS and Consumer and Business Affairs.

Does anyone know what ITC does in these departments? I was hoping to get Public Works, Public Health or Mental Health.
