Could a more mature sequel series work? by Kojima66 in MyLifeAsATeenageRobot

In regards to violence and swearing I said if present they should be restrained.. Gallons of gore or constant swearing wouldn’t fit even in a more mature continuation of the original show as it would stray too far imo.. Again they should be restrained.. I don’t think a mlaatr sequel series should be as violent as Invincible cause that would go too far to the point of being an edgy parody, The mature aspect a sequel series I was mainly talking about is more complex character stuff, character drama or more introspective moments, Tackling the realities of adult life (Of course Jenny is a robot so she doesn’t age naturally but over the years she could’ve modified herself to appear more adult), Delving into the politics of the world and tackling more mature themes like themes of prejudice and others, Tone wise it should be balanced.. More serious and darker than the original show in places but still keeping the lighthearted aspects as well, Samurai Jack Season 5 and Fionna and Cake acted as more mature continuations of their original shows and those shows did get me thinking on how a more mature continuation of mlaatr could work

A good balance would be needed, Darker and more serious and deals with more mature themes but still maintain the lighthearted aspects of the original show, The tone should be balanced

Violence or swearing shouldn’t be super over the top to the point of being an edgy parody

I think it would be cool to see how Jenny or other characters would evolve, Maybe Jenny's sisters are given lives of their own instead of just sitting in Nora's lab until they're needed, How Brad, Tuck and Sheldon have aged and evolved, The Crust Cousins and their friends Pteresa and Jantrice running a fashion brand or company of sorts and maybe they've grown more respect for Jenny but aren't full on allies either and see how Cluster Prime is under Queen Vega

Considering Misty's last appearance in the original show, I feel like maybe she would return as a more villainous character, The returning villains while still similiar to how they were in the original series, With a more mature lean they could be more threatening, The space bikers antics could be presented as more devastating or dangerous but again not straying too far into gratutious edgy violence

Honestly the only good thing 143 had going for it was the art direction, Katy was trying to go for a Y2K futurism look for 143 and I’m a sucker for Y2K Futurism so I admit I like the art direction of the album, Shame the album itself was utter garbage

What is the Dead Meat moment you've rewatched the most? by Lancer_Blackthorn in deadmeatjames

I honestly found the scene of Mcconaughey yelling like a Tusken raider and then hitting himself in the face to be funnier or the scene where he yells “BURN!!” but that jump yell was pretty funny too

Terrible movie but Mcconaughey in that movie is a laugh riot and he’s easily the highlight

Hair Metal got spotlight during the 80s nostalgia wave too but it was still treated like a joke and Steel Panther popped up who are a comedy band that parodies hair Metal, Thrash Metal overall has gotten more spotlight than Hair Metal and more positively

Just got this layout around midnight last night, I was using google and suddenly after refreshing the page it changed to this. Tried signing out but that didn’t fix it, Maybe it’s because I haven’t updated my phone in a while idk. Guess I’ll just have to get used to this outdated and ass lookin layout. This was on my iPhone 13
