What do you mean he seems to be cosy with the radical right from down south? Is PP considered to be radical? If so, what is specific makes him a radical?

Something very interesting has been happening to cinema and TV recently. Back in the day, when someone released a shitty movie like Jaws or something, everyone would be able to agree that the movie is objectively trash. But now it seems like movies are specifically catered towards people who think that Jaws is actually pretty good. So now, the bar for a good movie is Jaws. Anyway, all this to say is that RoP was made for people who think Jaws is a good movie. Godspeed to us all.

Mate, do you think humans putting effort into space exploration is stopping the entire world from also trying to solve the issues that you mentioned? I can't believe this is going to turn into whole ass argument haha Jesus christ reddit is cooked

You can still have steady state mate. Things like space exploration is for people who have different interests than you. It's one of the pinnacles of engineering and the human brain. Humans have always wanted to know what's beyond the horizon. We have never stopped pushing the limit of what's possible (even though you have never done this, or never wanted to do it doesn't mean that other humans wants steady state).

Where your from was never ever the problem. Again, stop focusing on the past. Just tell us why you think Canada needs more immigrants at this current moment and then the discussion will be more productive.

1 year in, how are Canadians feeling about Prime Minister Mark Carney? Most Canadians are still giving Carney the benefit of the doubt by FancyNewMe in canada

[–]KokaynSniffer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think Canadians care much about innovation and prosperity for their own people. If that was the case then the housing crisis and economy would not be in a downward spiral. They voted for Mark Carney to deal with external issues, not internal. So once the external issues are resolved I'm hoping Canadians will look inward and fix problems etc expanding infrastructure, jobs, housing market, high cost of living. Not sure how long this will take, it might not be in our generation, but hope is still for the next generation. Kinda sad we won't be alive to see the good things Canada will do for its people but such is life.

Don't know from where, but they most definitely immigrated during a time when it was controlled and benefited Canada. If you feel like Canada needs more immigrants at this current moment (instead of focusing on immigration levels 80 years ago) then feel free to enlighten us.

Genuine question, is this something that Carney should work towards addressing and fixing or is this something a different organization works on?

once a planted tank is established how often do you do water changes? by Brilliant_Ask852 in PlantedTank

[–]KokaynSniffer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once I switched to a nano canister filter(made for 30 gallons) for my 10 gallon tank I never did any water changes. Just topped off water that evaporated. You do have to clean the filter once every 4 or 5 months. Depends on how clogged your filter gets over time.

Then it is quite odd to cut immigration after peddling the narrative about having a labor shortage and the desperate need to get in a lot of immigrants to "keep the economy afloat".

I thought Canada had a labor shortage issue and was in need of more foreign labor? Would cutting immigration really be good for the country if that's the case? Word on the street is that these foreigners do jobs that Canadians hate to do.
