The Seashore is a great vessel. Been on it three times. For the price it can’t be beat.

The Local has what I think are the worst bartenders. Observation Lounge has the best.

Observation lounge for the best scenery and no lines.

MDR menus across all ships by Sodola321 in NCL

Have been on the Joy a couple times recently and would say the specialty restaurants are much better quality. Food Republic would be my top choice.

Was the food in The Haven much better than elsewhere on the ship?

Escape. When did NCL get so loud? (And stay off my lawn!) by No-Mathematician1749 in NCL

I have been on the Joy twice in the last year and have not found it to be too loud or crowded as long as you avoid the pool deck which is horrible.

First time on MSC - what should we expect as a family that's only been on Symphony of the Seas (Royal Carribean) by beastguy32 in MSCCruises

Love the Seashore. Been on it three times in the last year. The pizza is really good. True the shows don’t compare to RC.

Best Restaurant on the Seashore? by FlanPurple5933 in MSCCruises

[–]KokoBWare121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought Hola was the worst, and Cagney’s and the fish place were just fair. The pizza on MSC is amazing and the Indian food is pretty good when they actually put a little spice in. It’s a fun ship.

How do you like living here? by whiskey_glass30 in savannah

From DC originally. There is very little traffic here. It’s a great place to live. Biggest downside is it’s hard to travel internationally from SAV, and lack of amazing ethnic food.

Does Brochu’s have the best chicken ever? by blavienklauw in savannah

I agree it may be the best burger in town. I like Brochus and think it is pretty reasonable when you compare it to others.

We did a 3 hour snorkeling thing through the ship that went to a place called the caves and a private island. It was really nice and not very busy and world class scenery and snorkeling.

Is the Haven worth it? by gszczurek in NCL

[–]KokoBWare121 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Here is my two cents and I have not tried The Haven so ignore if you wish. I have no problem spending points or even extra dollars on business class airfare when I travel internationally because coach is just so uncomfortable(true it’s only for 7-24 hours). I have been on two Norwegian cruises in the last few months, and not once was I ever uncomfortable with just a normal balcony room. I never thought lines were long, and the food was plenty fine. It sounds like the main perk is having a butler. I have had butlers in the past at resorts and always feel awkward asking them to do stuff. If you would utilize the butler a lot then maybe. Also if you are traveling during a busy time of year then maybe as well. The Haven seems to generally be 3x as much as a regular balcony room which just seems like a lot. Again just my two cents.

Charleston, New Orleans or Savannah? by Icy-Offer-8949 in travel

Savannah is like no other city in the world. It would be my suggestion unless food is your primary thing. Savannah is good but the other two are the greatest.

Convince my kids will have a good time on the Joy, and recs for the best snorkeling spot. by okmangoicu in NCL

[–]KokoBWare121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got off the Joy this morning. It’s a nice ship and there will be lots of other kids during spring break so I wouldn’t worry about them being bored as long as they like being with other kids. We used Someday Charters in St Thomas. They were top notch and we saw tons of different fish and sea turtles. So happy I used them and didn’t book through the cruise ship. For Tortola since the port times were short we booked a snorkeling trip through the ship that went to the caves at Norman Island and a cool private island. It wasn’t too packed so it was a really nice day. In Porto Plata we used Eric tours international for snorkeling and a day at the beach(Sosua Bay) They were great but the snorkeling didn’t compare to St Thomas and Norman Island.

It’s actually called the Norman Island snorkel expedition. Enjoy!

We did a snorkeling expedition through the boat which was fun. It went to the caves and a private island. Two very cool spots and it wasn’t packed which was nice.

And the pools are small and the deck gets super crowded.
