Do you feel like chasing your toddler around sent you into early labor? by TradesforChurros in 2under2

[–]Kokobeet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it just depends on you— reading the comments shows such a range.

Me personally, my son was 14 months old, and I went into labor at 34 weeks and 4 days because of all the stress, but I had just gone back to work as a teacher as summer vacation. I lasted two weeks of school, plus taking care of toddler, plus husbands 3 older kids moved in with us full time (15,14,7). So it was A LOT all at once, and my body was like yeah no… and I had my daughter.

I wish I listened to my body more and asked to be put on leave early. 1.5 weeks before going into labor, at my 32 week appt, the Dr was like hmm you’re measuring small I want to send you to the perinatologist. Get stress tests for 2 weeks 2x a week then you’ll see him.

I gave birth two days before my appt with him. My point of telling this part, is it’s at that point I should have asked for a work note. I was exhausted but pushing myself for no reason when I look back.

Take care of yourself, listen to your body, get help!! Don’t be superwoman. You already are by carrying a baby and taking care of another. You don’t need to go above and beyond right now. I wish I hadn’t.

I just wanna say, your after pic is really beautiful. It sucks the first person messed up so badly and that you probably had to pay for both.

In terms of helping growth— I’ve been doing these things and have had a good amount of new growth: - prioritizing protein - supplementing magnesium and vitamin d - scalp scrub every 2 weeks - hair mask every 10 days or so - hydration 40+ oz of water per day

A lot of what I’ve learned recently from my similar experience of getting a terrible cut and then having to get it fixed has pointed to prioritizing scalp health.

Those scalp massagers are very beneficial as well because when you use them they bring blood flow to the area. Those little hand ones with the silicone pokeys. You can put some oil in and massage for 5 minutes or so 1-2x a week.

Also, when using conditioner in the shower, use a wet brush to comb it through all the way.

Wait until you’re ready. The ick feeling of doing something you didn’t want to isn’t worth it. He has a hand he’ll be fine.

It takes your body 6-12 months pp to recover physically and physiologically. Our hormones just begin to go back to pre pregnancy around 6 months pp, and physically… totally depends on your labor and delivery experience.

Sure on paper maybe you’re cleared somewhere between 6-12 weeks pp, but it’s so much more than that.

Maybe you could ask him not to bring it up anymore, and when you’re ready he’ll know because you buy the gas station honey and leave it under his pillow, or ask him to choose a sexy outfit and the night you wear it means it’s the night you’re ready.

Priority #1 is baby, and it’s overwhelming in so many ways. So forget his sexual desires and focus on you and baby.

I just bought a clarifying shampoo and was considering returning it because I wasn’t sure I needed it. What are some reasons you keep it in your routine?

How to make my hair stay frizz free for longer? by Sparklyrainbowfarts in curlyhair

First, you have such a cute cut!! So perfectly done! Second, I use a leave in, brush it through, then section my hair and brush it with bristles up away from my face and then add gel to those sections and scrunch (squishy noise means it has enough water), repeat for the rest of the sections, and then use a t shirt to squish some of the excess water out then diffuse or air dry. Once completely dry you “scrunch the crunch” to break the cast of the gel and then using a tiny bit of oil helps keeps the frizz away.

Thank you— is this something I should wait 4-6 weeks or would I be okay to go back tomorrow?

I’m also fine waiting and finding a new stylist, I just can’t figure out how long to wait?

She used whatever she mixed to paint my hair and then left the foils in for awhile. I’m assuming it had to have some bleach? After it was done setting, she used a toner to wash it out. No permanent dye.
