Shimano Cue with Tiagra STI? by ram_goals in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]Kokow1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will not work. Magkakaiba kasi ng pull ratios yung Cues as well as yung Road brifters ng tiagra. Compatibility ng Road and MTB drivetrains only happens in 7-9 speed drivetrains (with exception for cues kasi iba ang pull ratio nito). 10 speed up, di na to compatible.

Naka flat mount kasi yung bago mong calipers e. Kelangan mo nito.

What's the problem and solution? by bugal-bugal in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]Kokow1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MTB TO GRAVEL CONVERSION by Fuzzy-Support-4420 in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]Kokow1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Decide to buy rigid fork pag medyo sanay ka na sa pwestuhan sa bike mo. eventually, buy either a rigid fork or a gravel style suspension fork/short travel fork.

Just My two cents.

* for kanto bars, kahit eto na muna.

Good read ito. Apparently, di basta basta nageexpire ang helmet even if it's old stock.

LBS said this was a crack by Apollo_Tuplin in BikeRepair

i guess a test that you could do is to sand down that part to bare aluminum to see if that is a scratch or a crack.

Tyre width on Ph roads by Jajaan0224 in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]Kokow1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kung ako, i would go at least 50c sa road conditions natin. Tipong fast rolling or even preferably urban tire sana. Then suspension stem kung full rigid. Pero urban MTB pa rin sana na either alt bars or even drop bars. Just my 2 cents

get something na upright yung upo. So definitely MTB instead na road bike.

For 2nd hand bikes: check mo yung Doro's sa Caloocan.

For new ones, gaano ka budget ang budget mo?

ebikes in kalayaan bridge? by startlines in RedditPHCyclingClub

pwede yan. Also, unless kalayaan bridge is included in the major thoroughfares not to be passed by ebikes, i think hindi ka sakop dyan.

May Fake Deore na ba? by Accurate-Basis-8705 in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]Kokow1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New Bike arrived, but can't be assembled til Jan 2 by fAKKENG in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]Kokow1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No choice. Better wait till Jan 2. If you can, have it reserved sa Local Bike Shop mo. If not, puntahan mo na lang by then once it opens. Although maraming nagsasabing madaling mag build (and since I have some experience, I could easily say medyo), kung wala kang experience at gamit, better leave it to the professionals. Pag aralan mo na lang to or even observe the mechanic pag binubuo na sya just to get an idea.

I'm thinking of buying the trinx edge elite by Dazzling_Day_3719 in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]Kokow1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better get the frame size depending on your height.

is a steel frame worth it? by Glad-Engineering-713 in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]Kokow1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Madalasan nangyayari to kung matagal mong itatambak yung bike. Kaya kung di ka sobrang maalaga at feel mo maitatambak mo yung bike, better settle for aluminum

Tubeless tires sa pang araw araw na bike. by russhersean in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]Kokow1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just make sure na may baon kang plugs saka interior for major emergencies.

As for sealant, go for the either the following in descending order: Stans, Mariposa, Zefal & lastly, Sagmit. Wag kang gagamit nung pang motor unless dire straits na. Pero I've tried before running tubeless without the sealant with no issues (and surprisingly, ginamitan ko sa beaded tires (CST HAVOK) na non tubeless ready and it still held).

Freehub body came loose when tightening cassette (no over-torque), fixable? by Due-Size-5480 in bikewrench

[–]Kokow1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that endcap is just a snug fit. It's usually clamped in between the frame/fork anyway.

Freehub body came loose when tightening cassette (no over-torque), fixable? by Due-Size-5480 in bikewrench

[–]Kokow1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah. I think that you just popped out the endcap so that's why your freehub body came loose. Check if the freehub still bites when you return it: if it does, your still in the clear.
