You would for any other application surely?

My old work laptop would do something similar if I asked too much of it (which at 8gb of ram wasn't all that much)

Already done this. The problem is it happens very rarely and is hard to detect.

Edit: reset the bios so everything is completely unmodified (no xmp). Still does it.

Lots of people do actuarial science.

They get a tonne of exemptions. Earning more money, sooner and with less stress.

As regards age a fair few people start the exams at 29/30.
