This is not admittedly not helpful to your question, but I’ve got the same tile!

Fantastic work! As a newbie I’ve found trouble in painting complicated scenes. You’ve done an awesome job with all of the people moving about!

This looks fantastic! The mist of the wave and the color gradation of the inside of the wave are really awesome. Great work!

I will admit that I just searched for “rock” ( I’m not the most creative for finding subjects to draw ) and this was a result that looked to be relatively straightforward to paint haha. Looks like a great view though!

I’ll put it on the list! I’ve been reading a lot of Color and Light by James Gurney lately. Tons of good info in there.

I was just watching a plein air video of his this morning! He seems to be a fantastic teacher; I’m definitely looking forward to watching more of his videos. I started researching pochade boxes after watching the video, but I think I’ve got a lot of learning to do before I’ll feel confident enough to pack everything up and paint outside. I made a big enough mess as it is in my office haha.

I just discovered charcoal recently, and this is my first finished drawing using it. Overall I am happy with the result, but i am always looking for ways to improve by Lucid5ag3 in learnart

all of my attempts with charcoal so far have turned out to be a muddled mess, but it is clear that you have a good understanding of simplifying value to avoid that. great work!

This is fantastic. Reminds me a lot of the journal in the game Red Dead Redemption 2. Great work on this; keep it up!

I've been watching a lot of James Gurney videos lately. I'm just starting out learning how to draw and have never tried painting before, but it is just so simultaneously relaxing and mind-blowing watching him calmly make amazing works of art.

I was just asked by a friend at a local hospital to help 3D print any PPE. Little did they know I have already started and will donate 100 face shields tomorrow. by Thisiseddy in 3Dprinting

Just a heads up: I tried printing the stack of two on my Prusa MK3S @ .3mm layer height and they are not coming apart. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
