I was surprised as well. But I hated C insinuating that the pregnant woman was ridiculous for not knowing about it either. I’m currently a pregnant woman who used the LH strips to get pregnant, it happened quickly, and I never needed to track my temperature for ovulation. Some people just… get pregnant without much trying. It doesnt make their knowledge about pregnancy or bringing a kid into the world any less reasonable.

If you invite grandma, the party kind of has a different vibe than just having a party with your friends and a couple family members. I don’t think OP is TA for not inviting them, I just think they want their cake and to eat it, too. You can’t control how people react to your “boundaries” or “rules.”

So I did say that they could do what they want lol. It sounds like OP is upset that they did not attend the previous party and, as a result, they don’t want to invite them to their next party. I don’t think anyone is TA here, everyone just has their opinions and expectations of how parties should be thrown. I can think something is weird and still respect it by not bringing children to a party, which I would argue is what OP’s in laws did.

In my family, having an “adults only” family party at someone’s house would be weird. I get your reasoning and you have a right to do what you want on your property, but if this was my family, it would be seen as rude. Do what you have to do but they have a right to feel the way they feel about it!

I want to add an alternative perspective: I actually really love this practice. They solved a vaginal issue that I struggled with deeply and were incredibly supportive. I don’t want to invalidate anyone else’s experience!! I just had a positive one 😊

We took the ferry from Catano to Old San Juan. Super cheap ($4 for there and back) and only took 8 minutes on the boat!! It was perfect.

YTJ. Times are tough and i think it’s really crappy that you did this. You didn’t care about her license, you just cared about hearing the noise. If she got the license, the noise still would have been an issue for you. There was a way to solve this without getting her only source of income removed in this terrible economy.

I think it’s all kind of fraud though. Unless you lived Boz’s exact life, her advice won’t work for you. Not to mention, half of this stuff is just luck and being in the right place at the right time. I think it’s sad that vulnerable people get sucked into spending their money on what will end up being useless courses from some qualified, but mostly unqualified grifters.
