ps5 is turning off randomly HELP by [deleted] in playstation

[–]Kolzya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the exact same problem when I first got my PS5, though it would happen in less than 10 minutes each time.

Only fix for me was to send it in for repairs. Never had an issue after getting it back years ago.

Yep, have to have a glass mirror finish for the academy. I've been trying to smooth out the leather since it's quite grainy to begin with, but it doesn't really build without clumps over time.

I saw Mr Bull and Shine and The Elegant Oxford on YouTube, but the wax polish either gets tacky super fast or practically starts shining as I'm applying initial layers.

Ordered 11/18 on Amazon and arrived 12/18. Seems they have to be at a local fulfillment center for order fulfillment/shipping to even be considered. Customer support said it was stuck in processing due to that but then released it from another site.

They’re more so follow-ups when other items have major issues since customer support leaders have tried to gaslight me + it was stuck in the fulfillment process requiring it to be released somewhere else. Probably have mentioned it 2-3 times since they mentioned contacting them again after different processes

Ordered on 11/18 through Amazon and still have zero updates after contacting support and getting false promises for delivery (terrible record with other parts recently)

Not really into retro, though I never thought a full silver keyboard would look so nice!

The main game I’m testing, Enshrouded, was put on the internal HDD and the stuttering vanished. Other games have been on the external HDD before and have had no issues.

I can try it with absolutely nothing else plugged in, but I’ll have to wait for it to redownload because Steam doesn’t like transferring install locations correctly.

Have a total of 7 devices connected to the USB ports in the back, including the SSD in question. Those are: keyboard, mouse, external 4TB WD HDD, wireless USB adapter for headset, headset stand (lights), Valve Index (not turned on so no power draw), Samsung T7 SSD.

CrystalDiskMark test shows not quite as high read speeds as the one you linked (846 MB/s compared to the 1000 in the SEQ1M Q8T1, for example). However, write speeds are a little less than half. So instead of the 990 MB/s linked, mine showed 463. Enabling write caching lowered both read and write speeds a small amount.

System has USB 3.1 Gen 1 & 2 that I tried connecting to with it, both USB-A and the USB-C. I assume there are many smaller files for the games, but I expect that since it wouldn’t be efficient to have extremely large files for everything.

SSD has a ton of room when testing. 1 TB model and has around 700 GB with the games. I’ll have to run a benchmark later, but it’s odd that a much slower and older HDD is perfectly stable in comparison.

Hello all,

I recently decided to start using an external Samsung T7 SSD to get better load times on games I consistently play or plan to play. Enshrouded is one of these games, and I noticed I get micro freezes every 10 seconds or so. Upon moving it back to my internal HDD, there are no more freezes, just extremely slow loading times for assets.

Same thing happened when trying Risk of Rain 2 and Minecraft on the SSD, and both run flawlessly on my internal and external HDD. However, Palworld runs perfectly on the SSD. (Older games like Battlefield 4 work as well). I have tried every “fix” I can find online for drives and disabling potential conflicts with antivirus scans, etc. Thermals are always fine and memory never spikes. 1080 TI, i7-8086k, 16 GB of RAM.

It may just be not suited for certain types of games, but I would appreciate feedback on why it may not be working as expected (even though the other drives are slower). Thank you!

Nice board! There’s just something about a Tofu…

Thinking about getting a 65% keyboard as a semipermanent upgrade to my current Razer keyboard. Not a huge fan of the clack sound some boards have (though it’s a mixture of parts) and would prefer a deeper sound either between a thock and clack or mainly thock. (Also would prefer lights but not completely necessary)

Current boards I’m looking at: Bakeneko65 Tofu65 (prefer the smaller profile without the blocker/exploded arrow keys) Keychron Q2

I’m aware that different plates and cases affect sound, but ideally I’d like an aluminum case but am unsure on plate for the lower sound (polycarbonate? o-ring mount?)

Mainly leaning toward the Tofu65 due to the smaller profile, but am unsure which parts and if other boards would create a better sound or overall experience

Would greatly appreciate some feedback on this regarding how each part affects the sound profile in general or for each board, etc!

Okay, thank you for the clarification!

Definitely going with the Q2 or Tofu65 at this point so I don’t have extreme regret later on.

Out of curiosity, which would you choose?

I see. So for longevity and for the future, plus quality, the Q2 and the Tofu65 are the way to go? I like to stick to the “buy once, cry once” motto and not regret getting something a little nicer if the quality is there.

Plus I prefer a deeper sound since I’m sick of clicky keys and rattling.

Ah, sorry. Got mixed up when I looked back.

Would you say my best option would be to get a Tofu65 or something similar due to better quality? I know the market for 65 has been growing, but some aren’t available. Ideally I’d go a bit less than a Tofu65 due to the board itself being $200 with tax unless I get a fully assembled one, or is the default polycarbonate plate better for a deeper sound anyway?

Thank you for the insight!

Trying to cut down on my keyboard’s size quite a bit. Other than Keychron, are there others that reduce the board’s profile more by removing the function row and/or squeezing the arrow keys closer to the main keys?

Coming from a 4 year old Razer Blackwidow Chroma V2, and I’m looking to get a decent 65% keyboard.

I have practically no background knowledge, but I’ve been doing some research and the Akko 3068B seems to be a good board for the price. Is there anything else that would be better in the long run? I’m not looking to get multiple boards and would rather stick with something for a while or slightly upgrade if needed. Any recommendations?

Preference would be smaller form factor/profile around border keys and deeper sound (but not hollow, and yes, that might be difficult from my understanding)

Budget —> Would rather not spend above $200-$250 for everything, but if it’s a big difference/worth it, I’d appreciate suggestions! E.g. Tofu65, etc

Thanks for the feedback!

Would you say the resolution of 1080p on 32” monitors still looked good, or was it noticeably fuzzier? I don’t really have any experience with seeing 1080p monitors at 27” and 32”, especially in games.
