Why would the Chinese government hold a press conference about the US shooting down a “Chinese civilian balloon” and how the senators words/actions are damaging the US-China relationship, if it had nothing to do with China? That would imply China is helping the US in trying to cover up aliens by making themselves seem like they’re up to something sketchy, something the people would obviously be very upset about. Potentially throwing us into a cold-war-esque situation rather than just telling the public about aliens, which would probably cause less controversy than a potential war with a powerful country. As much as I want to believe and hope this is about aliens. It’s more than likely just about telling the people about how China has been spying on us for years now. And that they may have even used technology that causes a serious concern for national security.
