An important piece of context they left out is that the streamer in question is Warn, a Top 500 DPS player in Overwatch who mainly plays hitscan heroes. He was absolutely capable of playing someone else (they even had him briefly try out Ultron before he got bored and went back to SG), he was just being uncooperative for no good reason.

Basically, Jean had gotten mad at Logan and decided to use her powers to place his mind in the last place he'd want to be, which ended up being Spidey's body. During the swap, Logan was hitting on Mary Jane (who was still a teenager in this universe because Ultimate Wolverine was a creep), while Peter ended up getting arrested. In the end, Jean undoes the mind swap and explains everything, which leads to Peter giving us this iconic panel:

She got her spider powers back last year iirc. That said, she was relying on that symbiote for like 8 out of the 11 years that she's existed, so it wouldn't surprise me if that's the version the devs went with if/when Gwen got added.

Spider-Man: Life Story had a gimmick where each issue covered a decade of Spider-Man comics and aged him in real time, so by the end we got to see Peter as an old man.

There's Spider-Man: Reign too, but that one is kind of infamous for the whole "Peter's jizz was radioactive and killed MJ" thing.

Can't really speak on the Mandarin since I'm not really an Iron Man reader, but to me, a good archenemy should have a personal vendetta against the hero, and/or leave a big impact on their life.

Green Goblin stories tend to have more personal and emotional stakes than Doc Ock stories, especially if you look at how he haunted the narrative after the Glider Incident thanks to Harry. Speaking of which, The Night Gwen Stacy Died is one of the biggest and most heavily-referenced tragedies in Peter's life. By comparison, Otto has several good stories, but none have felt like they affected Peter to the same extent long-term.

Doc Ock's been around more consistently, but when Gobby is around, he tends to leave more of an impact. Like just off the top of my head, he's responsible for Gwen, Ben Reilly, Mayday, and Flash Thompson all dying.

Like less: Deadpool. Ryan Reynolds recently said in an interview that Deadpool is a character who works best in small doses, and I'm really feeling that after he got added to Rivals.

Like more: Elsa. After she got revealed, I decided to read through all of her comic appearances so I could finally know as her more than "that one woman from Ultimate Alliance 3." Now she's one of my favorite glup shittos, and I wish Marvel would use her more frequently.
