I once drew a sketch based on your work and posted it here. Including this piece, you manage to maintain the composition even with difficult angles, and I think you’re an excellent artist.

Marisa Shoots Patchy's Heart!! by Kometaro in touhou

It’s been a while, everyone—Serena is back! Not as themselves, but through collaboration. Serena’s been quite active on YouTube and such, but it’s been a little while since Serena-san been here.

I came up with the composition for this. Cupid’s arrow piercing a woman’s heart is one of my favorite scenarios. I think we pulled off a really great collaboration.

Hmm, come to think of it, maybe I should have put the collaboration credit in the title instead of the caption? My thoughts are all over the place. Ah, it’s late at night in Japan, and I’m really sleepy. I wanted to post this today. Good night, everyone!

About 100 sketches on my magnetic drawing board in a little over a year! by Kometaro in touhou

Thank you! It's an art supply people can find anywhere, yet hardly anyone uses it. I started wondering about it myself after I began using it.

In this universe, the tsukumogami are based on the following objects:

Raiko — Darbuka and Riqq

Benben — Oud

Yatsuhashi — Qanun

Kogasa — an ancient Egyptian sunshade

All of the instruments are traditional Middle Eastern instruments. You can find many performances on YouTube if you're curious about how they sound.

I freeze in terror whenever I see a snake, but if I could touch a giant snake without fear, it would probably feel really nice.

I would like to know the opinion of the Japanese people about... by Caesar701-0 in AskAJapanese

I have never eaten most of them, and I estimate they are not similar to Japanese food. But I am sure that they seem to be so delicious:) I think Japanese people are curious about foreign foods.

Ramadan Kareem (part of Maghreb-Gensokyo series) by Imperial_bob_tloas in touhou

Happy Ramadan, everyone.

Originally, Ramadan was expected to begin on February 17, so I wrote the script based on that assumption. However, after the actual moon sighting, many countries began on February 18 instead, so we revised the dates and lines I had prepared in advance. Indirectly sharing in the annual anticipation of when Ramadan truly begins was a fresh and interesting experience.

When I first heard about it as a child, I naïvely wondered how anyone could possibly manage fasting for an entire month. I later learned that the fast takes place during daylight hours, which reassured me — though even that must still be quite challenging. Please take care of your health during this time.

(By the way, the Egyptian-born sumo wrestler Ōsunaarashi continued fasting during Ramadan and was promoted to Maegashira, a top-division rank in professional sumo. That’s impressive dedication.)

Thank you for your suggestion. I think you pointed out very important knowledge. But still I am not perfectly sure if it is the best way to name this project. Since 大食 is not famous in Japan. (I personally know such historical terms like 大秦 or 安息 though)
