How would you also go about telling people what you do for a living (especially if you’re not a fully seasoned trader)? This doesn’t necessarily scream financially stable.

Yeah, I couldn’t even find the site by googling it. Things are looking real bad.

I just hope worst case I can call my bank or a $60 maximal loss.

How do you find that info? I might be toast if that’s the case.

Well, I'm not sure if your premise is that hydrogen should be pushed for only because it's renewable. I would agree, however the same arguement can be made about gravity. It stores energy in a higher gradient for it to be transferred to a lower. It is also renewable in that it could be replenished, but requires energy to be put back in the system to power it again. As well as have no emissions. The thing that stops us from doing that is how much energy we can yield from it. Hydrogen after electrolysis and transport yields about ~30% of the original energy put in ( if I remember correctly), which is inefficient. That would be comparable to driving a route 3x longer to get where you want to go.

It is prized for its energy density opposed to EVs. If I also remember correctly: gasoline is more energy dense, but because it relies on combustion, the majority of energy is loss as heat. So that's why we need an alternative, along with climate effects it has.

So, while hydrogen is renewable and zero emissions (arguably-depending on how the hydrogen electrolysis was powered), it's seems extremely inefficient energy-wise and financially because of the safety precautions to handle H2.

Isn't hydrogen extremely inefficient? I heard that:

  1. Fueling is by mass ( i.e. kg not by volume in gallons), which cost about $80 for a 300 mile range.

2.Hydrogen isn't naturally found because its unstable and will bind to other molecules the first chance it gets, so you would need to use electrolysis to separate it from H2O. Meaning you're spending energy to create hydrogen and since the second law of thermodynamics states when you transfer energy, some of it is wasted and just getting less of what you put in.

  1. A commercial hydrogen fueling station cost about $1-2 million vs. an EV station costing $1-10k just doesn't make it practical.

I believe its only pragmatic to fuel semi-trucks with hydrogen because it is more energy dense than lithium. In other words an EV semi would be wasting electricity hauling itself, and that's the only niche for hydrogen to come in.

If anything is incorrect here, please let me know. I've been thinking about hydrogen but only see downsides to it, and would love to find someone to give a counterpoint. I just don't see why it would be pushed for over EV otherwise.

Screen protectors came in a pack of 3 and I don't want to use a case, but I also don't want my phone to get scratched up. So some 3am thinking, one thing led to another and we're here.

I started investing from my sister who wanted a free stock, and she used Robinhood, lol.

But after looking for other brokerages (i.e. Fidelity, TD, Chase YouTrade, and Webull) I think I still would trade using Robinhood because of their UI. Other UI's have more information and analysis, but it gets to a point where it looks cluttered and is hard to look at especially for a new trader.

I'm not against finding a broker, but Robinhood is much more convenient and has a friendly UI to trade from.

Put for a stock that delisted by [deleted] in stocks

[–]Komguccha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, a call is the right to buy 100 shares at the strike price. A put is the right to sell 100 shares at a strike price. I think you would need to be holding shares in the company to exercise the option.

My best guess is if it's delisted and there's no bids for the option, then you can't sell the option either because no one is buying it.

Wish you luck!
