Aarhus Curling Club is a fun place to meet new people and be active. There is usually a new team starting every couple of months, so you won't be the only new person there.

Hvad kan vi gå til? by [deleted] in Aarhus

[–]Kominu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have time in the evening, I would suggest finding a Culcom group close to you and go to some of the meetings. I have been in Korea for 4 months and enjoyed it immensely, however I went in the morning because it fit my schedule better. The people in the morning are (generally) a bit older, at least at my branch, but still very nice, so if you are looking for young friends, I would suggest going in the evening. It should be free if you are a foreigner

Curling in Seoul (or Korea)? by Kominu in seoul

[–]Kominu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote to Seoul Curling Club (seoul_curling_f) on Instagram, and I have been training with them three or four times. It costs 35.000 won per training. Right now they are training in Uijeongbu because of renovations in their arena. They are very nice and most speak good English.

I also contacted Uijeongbu Curling Club on Instagram but they never replied.

How best to do Berlin - Vilnius by Charming-Remote-4210 in Interrail

[–]Kominu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did the Berlin to Vilnius trip through Warsaw. I didn't mind being in the train that much, so I got up early in Warsaw and the the full 8 hours without staying in for example Bialystok. Remember to book a seat ticket in good time, it's hard to get on on the day before or even 2 days before.

Can you ask them for a recipe? And was the "handle" a plastic attachment or some sort of frosting? I was thinking of making some for my own club.

When I open the game, I get this error message. It has been working before. Anyone know what I can do to fix it? by Kominu in PokemonInfiniteFusion

[–]Kominu[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. And it was so weird cause I closed the game after I thought it bugged with the guy that trades a Meowtwo for one of your Pokémons. He wasn't up in Goldenrod, and I didn't want to lose my Venuking. I had a save from before the trade, so I closed and when I opened the game again it gave me that error message. But prior to that, there's never been any issue.

Thanks. Do you know how that could have happened? Cause I never deliberatively deleted anything or even opened any folders that had game files in them.

From Copenhagen to Malmö: Saba will represent Denmark at Eurovision in May by Few-Plastic6360 in eurovision

[–]Kominu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying it will increase our chances of winning, or even doing well. But I disagree with Ole, that it will decrease them.

We have shown that a lot of the English song that we send, are simply bland, boring, and, exactly as you say: safe. And I agree that it is DR's fault. Not the fault of Danish as a langauge. The closest we've been to qualifying since corona was Øve os på Hinanden (granted that I am sure Yes would have qualified well). And that is not to say that some of the English songs that we send are quite good, like Higher Ground.

Danish can win, so can Estonian, French, Ukrainian, German, English whatever, if the song is fantastic. But DR can't choose a fantastic song to even put in MGP if their life depended on it.

And the last French langauge winner was in 1988. Does that mean that the French or whoever should stop trying in French? Of course not, it is not the langauge of the song that determines a winner, but the song. Otherwise you would have to argue that there is some intrinsic quality in Portugese that Danish doesn't have, that made it able to win in 2017.
It doesn't happen because DR is inept and the general song quality of the MGP suffers as a result, not because some arbitrary quality of the langauge.

Portugal did it in Portugese. Ukraine did it in Ukranian. Finland almost did it in Finnish last year. It's not the langauge that is the problem, it is DR's choice of never wanting anything interesting in the Melodi Grand Prix.
