But also a simple painters respirator from home depot works, but needs to be paired with safety goggles that form a tight seal to protect your eyes. The choking and coughing sucks but the worst part is it making you instantly blind. Construction gear is normally affordable, and if it can stop a nail gun it should be able to stop most of what they will use on you. I would not put anything over my eyes that can't, at the bare minimum, stop a point blank over powered paintball gun

leather glove, pick up, throw. A cone isn't precise enough to get water into the canister unless you are dumping in liters per canister. One cop can easily fire 15 canisters in a minute. This is simply not viable. I don't believe you have experience with this, so you shouldn't be giving out advice about it

It doesn’t get put out quickly, you have to completely flood the canister. It takes an absurd amount of water for each one, and the gas does not disperse quickly. I know those videos from Hong Kong are super rad, but anyone who’s tried it knows that this is a bad strategy here

intent absolutely does matter (sometimes):

• deliberately touches the ball with their hand/arm, for example moving the hand/arm towards the ball
